Fairly easy to setup and put on, even one-handed
This finger splint is well made and comes with two variations of the long splint to allow for the most comfortable position. The design is fairly simple, its just hook & loop fastenings. The ability to adjust the length by adjusting the wrist is helpful as I have quite short fingers compared to my palm.

Be prepared for everything
The media could not be loaded. Ok I've always said, Be prepared for everythingAnd I. So glad I had this to handMy daughter was putting up my granddaughters new bed when it collapsed and crushed two of her fingers..After some time i managed to get the one finger into the glove comfortablyHowever trying to attach the second finger to the glove was not that easyIt's a good product and helped a lotIt was also good value for the money...But wouldn't advise it for two fingersAs its very awkward

Fully illustrated instructions…
Well I would say fingers crossed this helps but that would be an impossibility at the moment…I expected this item to arrive in a little throw away bag so was quite surprised that not only does it come with fully illustrated instructions but it’s in a reusable ziplock bag which is idea for keeping your item in when not in use or plasters and ointments or other medical supplies…this one came with an extra finger wrap with support plate…all in its a handy little item with big use

Well made, supportive, can put on by yourself.
Good padding and is well-made overall. Good to have two types of metal support strips one straight and one bent. We are using the straight one on my son's hand, he finds this more supportive and of course, better protection compared to simple medical tape and bandage. My son was able to set it up by himself. We are happy with it

Does the job only if you fit the third strap in
The media could not be loaded. This is a review of DrFinger brand Finger Splint, for 2-fingers.I ordered this finger splint, as a replacement for an NHS physiotherapist supplied hand splint made from plastic – which is broken due to the aging of plastic. I use the splint for resting/restraining the movement of fingers, to allow a ganglion cyst in my palm at the base of a finger to shrink. What I do like is the choice of two aluminium plate used for support. The slightly bendy one keeps fingers in a more natural position and comfortable to use; although in my case I do have to keep the fingers and palm completely straight, where the straight plate does the job perfectly. They are light weight yet strong, material used is good and comfortable to skin, and I am confident these will last quite some time. The one gripe I have, and I therefore removed 1 star of my rating, is the instruction leaflets. I do not know whether the splint is tested on people with broken finger tips, but if you strap the splint on as instructed with the fingers strapped at one end, and the wrist the other end, whenever you bend your whole hand (as shown in the video), the whole finger side will just slide out because the other end is strapped securely on the wrist with no room to move. On a broken finger I would imagine this would be an ‘ouch’ moment. They do have an additional Velcro strap supplied in the package – there is no where in the instructions leaflet mentioning what this strap is for or how to use it. I fitted it around the palm as shown in the video. This is how my NHS supplied splint works – it only strapped in at the finger end, and at the palm. It does not go as far as the wrist (as completely unnecessary and also makes the whole splint bulky).Another minor complaint is the colour. I would like to see it is supplied in skin coloured material so that the whole thing could be a bit more discreet when wearing, particularly when the additional strap is used (which I feel is necessary as otherwise it doesn’t secure the fingers properly).Overall, I think the set is of good value, and is comfortable to wear. In my opinion, the splint can only do the job properly if the third strap, which is supplied yet not mentioned in the leaflet, is fitted on. The leaflet has some room for improvement. The fact that the third strap is supplied means something - you should at least mention what it is for in your instruction leaflet.

Comfortable and effective
I’ve been using the DrFinger finger splint to immobilise a middle finger that’s taking its sweet time to heal after an impact. The vecro strapping is comfortable and easy to install on my own thanks to a handy tab that you can pull when strapping on the wrist support, but it’s always that bit easier if you have help. The biggest advantage of the DrFinger splint over another I have used it use of an aluminium plate as the actual splint. This has allowed be to bend the splint so that my finger is immobilised in a more comfortable position, whether it be with the splint running up the palm, or the back of the hand.At just over £16 at the time of this review, the DrFinger splint is a good option for those who need it.

Nice soft materials. Good stitching. Comfortable.
It definitely works. If you had a broken finger this would be a help. Helps avoid a ‘stuck’ finger in the morning for a trigger finger sufferer because it’s light and comfortable enough to sleep in. Having said that, it’s nice to have the option of the ‘bent’ finger because that feels more comfortable.Even with careful adjusting it’s a bit long in the finger for a short fingered person. Still works but kind of hangs off the end a bit. It’s quite easy to get ‘the finger’ out of the splint, when it’s properly on, just by bending the wrist back and withdrawing the finger. I think this is because the metal part of the splint doesn’t come back into the wrist part. The finger part of the splint can be tightened more but I wouldn’t want it so tight that I couldn’t get it out. I don’t really think someone who wanted their finger immobilised would choose to take it out though. Surely they’d work with it.The materials and workmanship are tip top. Nice and soft. Good stitching. Non scratchy Velcro.
