Silent filtration system
Installed this product three weeks ago and found this to be of good quality.This is my first external filter so will need a few months to be able to access it's performance and reliability etc. I can't get over how silent this filter is when running!

Big media volume - nice filter
This is a good filter and absolutely silent running. The only thing I would point out is if its going in a larger tank (mines 190litres) then although the filtration is adequate up to this amount of volume, the circulation might not be. I have a planted tank and the flow from this is much less than the internal filter I had before, although the fish seem fine, detritus is now setting much more easy on the substrate and also some of plants seem to be suffering, the fish also seem to be swimming closer to the surface which could be an uindication of lower oxygen so I have decided to add a circulation pump to create better flow.I suppose in a smaller tank this would not be an issue but if your using this on a tank that's on the larger end of the scale for this model I would think it almost essential to also have a secondary filter, powerhead or circulation pump to keep the water moving round the tank better.

Superb
I recently bought this as a backup to my larger filter for my 200ltr tank. Flow is superb, but agree with other comments that if this was your only filter for a larger tank you might want the 901 or above. I found this to be the easiest filter to prime I have ever known, fantastically quiet and ultra economical. I would not hesitate to recommend it to any fishkeeping.
