Less stress about fish eating!!
Arrived as expected,It's one of those things you can't really tell if it's doing it's job as baby is only 1 month old and have been taking for last 3 months, but would rather take this than attempt the minefield of "don't eat fish cos it has mercury in it" but "oh actually do eat fish for the fatty acids", makes you feel stressed either way!Baby is very strong and healthy with good motor skills etc so the dha can only be good and we'll see more of her brain development as she grows. On mum's " pregnancy brain / baby brain ", this did seem better, because it's supposedly due to a lack of dha fatty acids etc, but I did stop working so that meant less things to forget, so can't really be sure!Doesn't make a nasty taste in your mouth, good to have extra vit d too, can't complain about anything really.

Excellent Product
Bought these for my wife. She hates fish and gets sick just by the smell of it but loved this Omega-3. No fish taste or burps at all even without freezing them (Tip: freezing omega 3 capsules will minimize or eliminate fish taste/burps). Also, pills are small thus easy to swallow.I am a nordic naturals fan, consumer of their Ultimate Omega, and have high expectations for any of their products. Still, they surprised me positively with this one.

Not a trustworthy brand
I emailed customer support to find out more about their product. My main concern is that they claim their fish feed on Zooplankton but Zooplankton contains BMAA, a neurotoxin that can cause neurodegenerative disorders in unborn babies. When I asked them whether they could send me some evidence that their product does not contain BMAA or even some evidence that Zooplankton does not contain BMAA they said they can't comment on that and steered me towards the benefits of Omega 3 instead, which was not my concern. They basically want you to focus on the benefits of Omega 3 rather than the horrible risk of BMAA. Imagine taking this throughout your whole pregnancy. The effects on your baby will last their whole life so it's something to consider properly before purchasing this product. The company does not care about the wellbeing of your baby. If you want to find out for yourself, email them. Just go to Nordic Naturals website and you will find their email there

Misleading info regarding BMAA neurotoxin in product, which causes neurological diseases
This product looked very clean and promising based on its marketing and label. However, I happen to come across a study, which indicated that BMAA neurotoxin is present in the area, where Nordic Naturals source their fish. BMAA has been proven to cause degenerative diseases so must be avoided in fish and supplements.I wrote to the company to ask whether they test for it and whether there is a risk that their product contains it. They responded that they don't test. However what concerned me most is the explanation they gave for not testing, which came straight from their product development team. They stated that the fish they use eat mainly Zooplankton, not the type of algae which contains BMAA, therefore only small levels of BMAA would be present in their supplement. However a quick search revealed that Zooplankton do themselves eat the algae responsible for BMAA. This would mean the fish, which eat the Zooplankton could have an EVEN HIGHER level because of how toxins accumulate in the food chain. When I challenged Nordic Naturals about that they simply replied that they cannot reveal any more information. I was really disappointed and taken aback because this is a simple question that any supplement product development team should be all over. Instead, the company seems to want to fob customers off with misleading and evasive answers.
