My No.1 go to book
This must be the number one book for all teachers whether teaching in primary or secondary schools, it is clear, concise and can enhance your practice the very same day improving the learning of your pupils. Easy to read and I particularly liked the summary and the reflective tasks at the end of each chapter. As a teacher who has taught for thirty plus years and is always reflecting on their practice by reading many professional educational books over the years this is my No 1 go to book. Highly recommend it, it should be in all staffrooms as part of the schools’ professional reading section.

Missing pages! P33-39 Part 1 of the book
A great book. So clearly set out and easy to understand. I'm not sure the first part of the book would've been as relevant to me, hence why I've not sent it back, but it is odd that I have two introductions and no part 1. My book launches into part 2 straight after the introductions! Perhaps a problem with printing?

A clear vision of what effective teaching should look like
If any of you wear glasses you will know that moment in the eye test when the optician places a lens on top of a lens and suddenly you see with great clarity. When Bruce Robertson writes he already writes clearly: there are no extra words and his wonderful metaphors eg the forgetting pit enlighten our understanding. However, add the extra lens of Finola Wilson’s superb sketch notes and you see what great teaching can be with a new and additional edge making the clear even clearer. Every sketch note is designed with intelligence and wit. There is a good reason why Power Up Your Pedagogy is number one in classroom practice right now and is an Amazon best seller. Buy it and you’ll still be using it year after year. I highly recommend this book to teachers at every stage of their career.

CPD for every teacher
This is a great, accessible resource. Every teacher should own it. Dip in, dip out or work your way through. It’s also a great prompt for discussion.

A fantastic read… wish I had part 1
This is a fantastic resource, however I’m missing part 1 in my book (pages 33-50) and have repeats of the introductions in what seems to be a misprint… is this something that can be sorted?
