Unbelievable quality, I just don't understand how this is so cheap !!
Using Prime to get this delivered I headed the warnings of others as well as the reviews, but ended up ordering three of these. One for me and after taking it to the Archery club two more for other members. On all three the screws, bolts etc etc were all seated firmly (Others had warned to check this). The first thing that impressed me, and others was the sturdy construction of this tripod, and all for £37.07, that in itself would have been good value for money, but then there is the pistol grip, easy to operate exact and very very sturdy (On member bought just the grip somewhere else and paid over £45 just for that).I can't fault the tripod, or the Grip it's just excellent and remember it's ALL less that £40. I have used a HAMA tripod in the past which I thought was good value at approx. £20, (and it is) , but the plastic parts fatigued over time, I think this will outlast more than 2 HAMA cheap tripods, so consider that. If you use the tripod very seldom on a calm day perhaps even this is overkill for you and go for the HAMA one, but under any other circumstance go for the Ravelli. As an added bonus I got THREE lens cloths, good quality, a small torch and a bag to carry these in, ok I can't quite see the use of the torch with the tripod, but it's now on my Car keyring for those dark nights so thanks Ravelli. Now my only small gripe, the carry bag, well made, very lightly padded, BUT with the pistol grip on the tripod about 2-5mm too short unless you angle the grip slightly. (Actually I take the grip off and out it in another bag, but that's just to make it easier for me)I think I've covered everything, if you are looking for a tripod and you read this then unless you want it plated in gold, covered in diamonds and carried by a butler I don't believe you will find another one of this quality for the price. Stop reading and buy it, you've already spent too much time in the office when you should be working...........

First Impressions :)
First Impressions are of a very sturdy (& Heavy) tripod, once you get it setup. On taking the tripod out the bag, one of the legs fell off, Hmmmm not the best sign, maybe I got the release on the bag? No as it turns out some of the screws are loose, so I would advise to check the tripod over for loose screws as losing any would cause huge issues once outdoors. The next problem was similar in that one of the locking flip handles was again loose, so the leg wouldn't lock into place, again tightening the screw sorted this issue out. Now I'm new to photography so I'm not sure if my next point is truly valid, but once you attach the head, which again is heavy duty It no longer fits in its supplied bag, with the bag being about an inch short which is a shame, as id have happily kept it assembled for traveling and transportation. So sadly you have to break it down to its two pieces while your carrying it in its bag. So luckily for me I have a bubble wrap bag handy so Im going to keep my ball head in that so it doesn't clank against the tripod while its being carried. Apart from these minor niggles, This tripod seams more than capable of holding onto its professional name tag. Its not for everyone, and not fit for every purpose, ie. I wouldn't want to be walking miles with it or up a mountain, but for a good quality sturdy tripod, this will suit me perfectly. Im more than happy with it and hoping it will last me many years to come!

Good quality tripod
Good quality tripod, heavy, stable and easy to set up. The only downside is that the rubber on the top is a bit sticky, my camera (Nikon d800) has an equally sticky rubber on the bottom and this keeps getting stuck when screwing the camera on. Otherwise it's a great tripod and amazing value for money.

Seriously impressive kit
I needed a reliable sturdy solid tripod like my Manfrotto 051 tripod which is heavy and built like a tank. This kit looked like a proper good bargain and like such things sometimes too good to be true. After reading other reviews I decided to buy one. My initial reaction has Been very impressed with the build quality which is very comparable to Manfrotto with many features as copy. The tripod has strong sturdy legs, the base has secure feet with extended pins in the feet. Foam comfy grips on the legs. Fully extended you get a solid 1.78m height. My camera with the lens is heavy (Nikon D750 with 24-70 mm and 70-200mm) therefore I need a secure solid robust tripod. The pistol grip is also of excellent quality. Good reassuring feel. There are couple of spirit levels on the grip. Quick release plates also. The grip is secured to the tripod head with grub screws (hex key supplied). The only snag I would say is the small tripod bag provide. With the pistol grip the bag zipper does not close. But of the price and performed you really can't ask for more.

Professional tripod for amateur price.
I had £100 or so to spend on a decent tripod, but was so impressed with the Amazon/U Tube reviews of the Ravelli that I took a bit of a gamble and opted to save myself some money. All I can say is that if I had of paid over £100 I would still be giving it a 5 star review. This is a very solid and sturdy piece of kit - Easy to set up and easy to use. The pistol grip is fantastic.I have used a number of cheaper tripods, but wanted something more professional this time. As it turned out, I've only paid a few £'s more than usual, yet there is no comparison in the quality. If you are looking for a professional tripod save yourself some money and buy this.If you are looking for a cheap tripod, then spend a little more money and buy this.Either way, you will not regret it.If i had to be critical, then I wouldsay that it is not exactly lightweight, however to be honest the weight just adds to the overall sturdiness and quality feel of the tripod.
