Seventeen-year-old Alexia hadn't been herself lately. Neither has fifteen-year-old Hayley. But it's not puberty that's causing the commotion. It's something a bit more complicated. Hayley (Danielle Harris, Urban Legend) is an average teenager, a grungy brainiac with no fashion sense. The only thing average about her sister Alexia (Katherine Heigl of TV's "Roswell") is her grades. But there's nothing average about the sibling rivalry that explodes when a wish makes them switch places. Hayley is ecstatic: the car keys, the guys, the cool friends - suddenly they are all hers. And Alexia gets?well, Alexia gets as mad as you'd expect for a pretty and popular teenager in this situation. After all, life among the clueless Hayleys of the world is no life for someone blessed with a gift for accessorising. But after a couple of days in each other's shoes, Hayley and Alexia begin to understand each other - and themselves - better. Now their biggest problem is finding a way to reverse the wish!

I Wish For A Better Movie
A nice, safe take on the whole 'body swap' genre, but with little in the way of surprises. The two sisters play off well against each other, and there are a few moments that'll make you grin. However, the whole production has the feel of a Made-For-TV movie, and the lack of anything resembling risk-taking means adults will probably get bored before the end. If you want a better movie of this type everyone could enjoy, then I've go for a slightly older film called Vice Versa. It's much less predictable, and has many more laughs. Plus, as an added bonus, no vacuous love interests. Hurray! 5/10

Teenage Flashbacks!!
I remember watching this film when I about 13/14 and I loved it. Its along the lines of freaky friday but with sister rivalry and adhorrence, their actions to spite the other one has major comical outcomes.If you enjoy a good cheesey chick-flick then this is deffinitely one to watch. Once a good film always a good film...its just killing me I don't have a multi-region DVD player. BRING IT OUT ON REGION 2 PLEASE!!!!Enjoy...

Role Reversal Wish Fulfillment Film
My Thoughts: This is your garden variety wish fulfillment film that stars then up-and-comer Katherine Heigl and Halloween 4 and 5's Danielle Harris. The acting here is hammy at best, the dialogue unrealistic and oddly out of character and the storyline has been played a zillion times before and after this release. Saying that, I remembered watching this when I was in my teens and actually enjoying it, perhaps identifying more with the characters then rather than now.Your kids might like it, but as an adult, it holds very little appeal.The Story: The Wheaton sisters find themselves at odds. Alexia, the beautiful, popular but pretentious snob and high school senior sweetheart is reluctant to see eye-to-eye with her shorter, un-pretty and un-popular poindexter of a younger sister, Hayley. Hayley is miserable with her unglamorous life and jealous of Alexia, especially when Alexia gets to cruise around school on the arm of the gorgeous Kyle Harding. Alexia, on the other hand, adores her own life to the point of putting herself on a pedistal which has left very little time to work on any academic projects, leaving her about to flunk her classes so horribly that she will lose her chance to go to college.While star gazing for science class, Hayley spots a shooting star, and makes a heartfelt wish that she would like to be Alexia, a wish that the next morning both girls are horrified to see has been granted. Hayley finds herself in her tall beautiful sister's body while Alexia is stuck in her short and frumpy sister's form. Soon they realise that the situation cannot be reversed and they will need to take on each other's lives until the next shooting star will give Hayley the opportunity to fix the damage she has done. But with so much rivalry between two sisters and the opportunity to throw each other's lives out of balance, things may just go to the extreme.
