A lovely, well crafted chess set and board

It's all plastic.The magnetic surface only works on the chess pieces, and it's a weak magnet.The chess pieces struggle to be enclosed by the folding box and are probably better kept to one side, which kind of spoils it's traveling potential (box is too small).So why 4 stars and not less, it only cost £17. It would cost me a lot more to build something like this with a 3D printer.It's certainly durable enough, unless you're a very angry chessplayer, or a sugar-fueled toddler.

disappointed with the 60 action cards. I thought this would be about moves etc but it's 10 cards of the same thing x6. not sure why there is so many of the same thing? but it's a lovely board and pieces which has great secure storage

My 10 year old grandson was absolutely thrilled with this gift. I think it is a perfect gift for a beginner and easy to pack when going on holiday. I felt it was real value for money

Ideal initial set for grandson who has just started and is very keen on chess.

Very nice looking. Nice and steady. Unfortunately some of the magnetic fixtures on the chess pieces aren't that useful. Overall satisfied with the item.
