Good replacement batteries for much less money!
After six years, the sole battery that came with my Nikon D40 finally died - it stopped taking a charge. I took a chance on these when I noticed their low price and read the reviews by amazon customers. And these are cheap; two of them for a little over $14, including shipping, versus about $38-40 for a single Nikon branded one. Well, so far the replacement batteries have worked flawlessly and seem to hold as good a charge as the OEM cell. Even if they didn't last as long, they are so cheap that you can afford to buy nearly 10 of the price of one OEM. Recommended.

So far these are great
I ordered these not only because I needed a back up but because the Nikon battery my camera came with has begun dying faster and taking longer to change (it has been my only battery for three years though so its had a great run) so I figured it was time to make sure I didn't get caught with a dead battery at a photo shoot as I had recently cut it pretty close. I have yet to use them which is the reason I didn't leave 5 stars, but they arrived today exactly as they were supposed to and fit perfectly into my D60. One was fully charged and the other charged up within 20min. So far I am happy with this purchase and its a great deal for two backups.

Bad battery, non compatible and wiped out picture memory pus cannot fully be charged
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. I put the battery in my Nikon D40. It said battery was not compatabile. It wiped out all pictures I had on SD card. Also, it never stopped charging in the original Nikon D40 charger. The other Kastar battery seemed to work in the camera but also never stopped charging. !!!!!!!!!You HAVE TO PAY TO SHIP IT BACK!!!!!!!!!. I am out the cost of this purchase as I do not want to pay more to lose to ship it back, my loss. KASTAR DOES OT STAND COMPLETELY BEHIND THEIR DEFECTIVE PRODUCT they sell. I trusted them, but not now. Don't BUY.

Perfect battery for a hobby photographer
Battery lasts for almost 3 hours of continuous use. Lasts for a month if used sporadically (roughly 100 pictures per week). Works great in a Nikon camera - sure it works great in other brands too but, Nikon is what I have.Great price for a 2 pack! Shipped and arrived in a timely manner. Well packaged.
