Shaping Things Up: STANLEY Surform Moulded Body Block Plane (155mm)
Alright, just snagged myself the STANLEY Surform Moulded Body Block Plane, and let me tell you, it's like the Picasso of smoothing things out. I'm no carpenter, just a person who occasionally needs to pretend I know what I'm doing with wood.First off, that 155mm size is just right – not too big to be unwieldy, not too small to feel like a toy. It's like the Goldilocks of block planes. I used it to tame a rough piece of wood for a DIY shelf, and now it's looking like something straight out of a Pinterest dream. The molded body feels like they've considered the human hand. It's like they asked, "Hey, how can we make this comfortable to hold for more than five minutes?" It might seem like a small thing, but when you're sanding away, that comfort goes a long way.The Surform action is where the magic happens. It eats through wood like it's on a mission. Smooth, consistent strokes without feeling like you're wrestling with the thing. I appreciate that it's not high maintenance – no complicated adjustments, just grab and go.Plus, it's surprisingly light. I can go at it for a while without feeling like I've just finished a workout. And the blade – sharp as heck. No need for a PhD in sharpening to get good results.Honestly, the STANLEY Surform is a game-changer for me. It makes smoothing out wood feel less like a chore and more like a satisfying art project. If you're into DIY and want a block plane that won't give you a headache, this one's a solid choice.

La he vuelto a comprar.
