Perfect risotto
This Arborio rice cooked up perfect for risotto. It was ready after about 18 minutes of cooking. The rice was light and fluffy, with a minimal amount of chewiness. I added bolognese sauce to it and paired it with a salad and bread for a light meal.

I really like the hook and loop fastener to keep the bag closed and the rice from spilling.
4Sisters - Authentic Italian Arborio Rice - Sustainably Grown - Women Owned - 2lbFirst impressions: Nice bag of good looking rice. The grains look plump and clean. I don’t see any rocks or other debris and there are very few broken pieces. They look fresh. I really like the hook and loop fastener to keep the bag closed, it’s thick and seems to keep the rice from spilling.Installation/setup: Use recipe on the package to make rice per directions.Final thoughts: I used 1 ½ cups of this rice to make mushroom risotto using a recipe I found online for my instant pot. I used dried mushrooms and they were a bit chewy. I would recommend fresh. It turned out well and I’m glad I got this.Ingredients¼ cup unsalted butter¼ cup olive oil3 cups diced mushrooms1 cup chopped onion1 sprig rosemary1 ½ cups Arborio rice¾ cup white wine1 quart chicken stocksalt and ground black pepper to taste½ cup grated Parmesan cheeseStep 1Turn on your Instant Pot and select Saute function. Add butter and olive oil; stir until butter melts, about 2 minutes. Add mushrooms; cook, stirring occasionally, until slightly softened, about 3 minutes. Stir in onion; cook for 2 minutes. Add rosemary sprig; cook for 1 minute.Step 2Stir rice into the pot until each grain is coated with butter and olive oil mixture, about 2 minutes.Pour in wine; simmer for 3 minutes.Step 3Pour in chicken stock, stirring to scrape the sides of the pot. Simmer for 1 minute.Step 4Close and lock the lid. Turn the venting knob to sealing. Select high pressure, 6 minutes. Allow 10 to 15 minutes for pressure to build.Step 5Use Vent for a quick release of pressure. Remove lid.Step 6Stir risotto until creamy, about 1 minute. Discard rosemary sprig. Season with salt and pepper.Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and combined.⭐️1 star - I don't recommend it at all, poor quality.⭐️⭐️ 2 stars - I don't recommend it, it has multiple faults, or a very high price.⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars - It's passable, It has some faults but the quality is ok for what it is.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars - Product quite acceptable, it does what it promises.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars - Product that I totally recommend.

Thicker, softer rice that is easy to make & delicious; comes from a good brand
I'm not that familiar with this type of rice, but if all brands taste as good as this one I won't say no to enjoying it more often! The rice is a bit thicker and just a little softer than say, jasmine rice, but it's still delicious. You can use it for normal rice dishes or for Italian rice dishes. The bag is great - it is resealable and the rice did not taste stale or have any issues with mold.Another thing - this brand is based in the USA and is woman owned. Personally, I like this; I like supporting more local and women owned businesses.Overall, I would highly recommend.

Cooks quickly and easily
This Arborio rice was so easy to cook compared to other brands I’ve used in the past. There’s usually a lot of stirring and adding broth to cook and get the gluten to develop. The directions say to cook for 20 minutes but I found that it was the perfect tenderness after 15 minutes and the water was pretty much absorbed by then. I then used that cooked rice in the recipe provided on the bag for mushroom risotto which was delicious. I had to make some modifications for what I had on hand. The recipe calls for 2 cups shredded mozzarella but I only had 1 cup so I replaced the other cup with pecorino which really enhanced the flavor. Also, I made it using portobello and morel mushrooms.I was extremely impressed and look forward to making it again.

Great
This is one of the many varieties of rice I have tried from this company. I enjoy this one the most. It allows you to add your own spices and flavoring. It was easy to cook and tasted great.

I really wanted to like this but I was disappointed
It's always exciting to try out new products, and I was eager to try the 4Sisters Authentic Italian Arborio Rice. However, I was a bit disappointed with this rice, and I don't think I'll be purchasing it again. While I'm used to eating long-grain basmati rice, I wanted to branch out and try something new with Italian cuisine.Unfortunately, I didn't taste any unique flavors in the rice, and I found it to be very lumpy and sticky, even though I followed the cooking directions carefully. I'm sure some people might enjoy this rice, but it wasn't to my taste.
