I am a retired automotive repair tech. I have seen many cheap vises in my time. I was wanting just a light duty vise with which to help with some of my hobby projects and to hold my mower blades for sharpening. I was SHOCKED when I found how heavy this little vise is! it operates very smoothly and holds well. The lock on the swivel also holds tight. I have seen many cheap vises that will loosen up on their own and rock back and forth on the swivel base even when the lever is locked down tight. This one does not do that at all. about the only "defect" I can see is that the replaceable jaws do not fit correctly on the sides. One is too long on one side and the other is too long on the other side. (see Photos) But that is not a huge issue in my opinion. Also, I tried "flipping" them to get them to line up with each other, but they cannot be installed upside down, so that squashed that idea. they could be ground flush with each other if it becomes an issue for some reason. Also, I found that the pipe gripping teeth below the main jaw held very well without having to tighten it too much on some 1/2 inch metal conduit. The anvil does not look like it would take a lot of abuse. it is kind of thin. There is not a lot of mass there. Although it could be used with a light hammer to straighten some small things, like maybe nails? All in all, I think that this little vise is fairly well built and is a very good value for the money.

Good product for price

Unlike other reviews, my vice arrived extremely well packaged and cushioned. Mounting to a work bench was easy though the provided bolts are at least a 1/2" too short for mounting to wood-used my own. The instructions provided are written by a non english speaking person and are totally useless other than to tell you to lube the screw. I think this seems well made for light duty homeowner use-nothing heavier than sawing a board or a pipe, or holding a workpiece, which was what I wanted-Not for any serious metal work. The 240 degrees rotation is a little awkward-270 would have been better, but i knew that when I bought it. We'll see how it holds up.

Easy to install. Have not used it much but does what I need.

I use this in the dad room as a basic gunsmith and project vise, for which it performs adequately... no complaints. It ships rather oily to protect. against rust, etc. So expect to clean it before installing it.

I was skeptical of this vise for such a low price but it’s been great. It’s super sturdy and works for 99% of my needs. I like how it includes the bolts and nuts to connect it. I also like the black color so it fits perfectly in my shop. Nothing moves when clamped, high quality material. No need for those $200+ vises at all unless you’re building conference tables daily.

Surprised at how well this vise is crafted, works and the sturdiness and weight with just the right size and design. The grip is great and alignment is spot on...I see many uses for this product in the future....really thought it was going to be much smaller then it was and is just perfect for my uses...almost ordered the larger one and glad I didn't and saved $$$

Een deugdelijk stuk gereedschap. Doordat hij draaibaar is heb ik hem op de verste hoek van de werkbank gemonteerd. Op die manier is het nooit een sta in de weg.

It's a fairly small bench vice however it's superb quality for the price. The included bolts to fix to your bench are very handy to have. The only things I added to this were, Metal washers to accompany the nuts and bolts and some soft grip inserts for the jaws. If you want a cheap yet fully functional, easy install vice then this is the one.
