It just doesn't work. Tried to extract petrol and oil from an old lawnmower and it is impossible to get it to collect anything at all. The tubes arrived crushed where someone had bound them up with cable ties, which doesn't help matters. Add to that the fact that the tubes only fit loosely into the collection bottle with no proper seal, and you're never going to get enough of a vacuum to suck up any oil/petrol/whatever. A complete waste of money.

Over filling my engine oil by about 1ltr ,10min and extracted out .Good little pump but not for heavy duty work.

I bought this vacuum pump to help remove excess water from my washing machine after an E01 error message (blocked water filter).The water can be removed by draining it via a short rubber tube 4cm off the floor, but I find it tedious trying to remove 10 litres into shallow containers, especially when it trickles through the blockage.Attaching the pump to the washing machine was easy as the included tubes were a push fit onto the outlet hose and again into the tapered rubber bung which fits into the receiving bottle. After attaching the vacuum pump water was soon flowing with every stroke of the plunger until only air came out. Leaving the pump a few seconds for the water to drain past the filter allowed for more extraction. The bottle holds 1.6 litres and after several fills the washer was ready for the filter to be removed and cleaned.I’m glad I didn’t flood the kitchen.

I bought this pump unit to extract over-filled oil from my car engine via the dipstick tube. It was unsuited for this purpose, at least for my vehicle (Mercedes E320). Many issues;- The larger diameter tube which was the one recommended for high-viscosity fluids such as engine oil was too large in diameter to fit down the dipstick tube.-The smaller diameter tube fitted, but even with the oil heated up to 40 degrees i found it almost impossible to develop enough vacuum to extract the excess oil.- I tried to overcome the poor push-fit seal around the piston unit by using everything from cling-film to BlueTak, but nothing worked. Very hard work for a tiny trickle of oil.However, it may work for less viscous fluids.

Certainly got me out of trouble when i put a stop leak in my car and it mistakenly made the oil level rise way too much above the max mark. I was roughly about a pint over the max, and did not want to damage my engine by having too much oil in my car. This sorted it right out, now my dipstick indicates a small (=) space free below the max mark, not showing any oil which is ideal and has sorted it right out without having the expense of draining the sump and a new plug, filter and oil.Make sure though that you clean the product out thoroughly and dry it out before you move from using it with fuel to oil or water or vice versa to avoid any cross contamination of fluids. But I guess that goes without saying. I'm very pleased with it. I would recommend this. It's good value for the money and does exactly what it says on the tin. So a thumbs up from me :) Thanks Amazon.

Don't bother the pump supplied had no thread so would not hold vacume such a ball ache wish I spent extra and got a better one

This worked ideal, I have done 2 oil changes since buying this and it works great.I wasn't expecting much due to the cheap price but I feel already it has paid for itself.Took about 5 minutes to drain the oil.If the tube doesn't fit the dip tube, try soaking in hot water to soften it up then it should fit over the end giving a good seal.There are a couple of negative reviews but I can't see why, works the same as other more expensive pumps out there.

Facile à monter. Le tuyau est enroulé dans la boîte de rangement et est un peu rigide; donc il faut le maintenir déroulé un bon moment avant de pouvoir l'utiliser.
