I have a two year old whippet that has been on Purina Pro plan lamb and rice puppy food. The breeder recommended it to start him out. I have tried switching to a different adult food a few times, but whippets have really sensitive digestive systems and changing over has been tough. I went with this food based on recommendation from my local dog food store. I only had three days of his old food to mix in with this new food and then it was 100% this new food. The change over has gone great. No diarrhea, gas etc. Stools look great. He ate this stuff right off the rip which other foods he would spit out. You can smell the ingredients as soon as you open the bag. Definitely higher quality than the Purina I was feeding before. Raw is of course the superior way, but with food costs and fridge space this is a great compromise. Amazon has this priced the same as my local store which is nice since it's a long drive for me to the store.

This is such a great brand! So happy we found it!Backstory: Our dog kept getting sick and one day I had to rush my dog to the vet because he was pooping blood (sorry if TMI!). Our vet told us our dog has a very sensitive stomach and recommended we switch his food. We tried a couple of brands, but noticed he would throw up and get sick. After a ton of research, we found that not all brands are as clean as they make themselves out to be. After more digging, we found this brand on a list of recommended brands due to the transparency of what goes in the dog food and their sourcing.After switching to this brand, we have not had any issues with his stomach! He absolutely loves this food and helps us open the box when his food is delivered! I am so glad we found this brand. If you order directly from the site, you may run into some issues, though. Several times we had the wrong dog food delivered, but they always make it right and have you donate the wrong order to a local shelter. Due to this, I have had to order the same food from Amazon (hence this review) to get his food quicker if he is running low during a mess up.

We Love Open Farm. Quality Ingredients. We make our dogs food at home. However, we add the Open Farm to make sure they are getting all the nutrients they need supplemented that they may not be getting in their Homemade Food.

My dog doesn't want to eat this I have mixed it with all kinds of special treats like packages of chicken package of salmon the dog food obviously that he has been eating before. So if I put his old dog food down he will eat it but if I put this dog food down he runs away. Even when it's mixed! And there's no refunds so that's your gamble. I also read its fake news with the hype cuz nothing has ever been tested. Read about it. I have a Pekingese. The dog food is small enough for him to eat but he just doesn't want it. So now I wasted like $30. He was eating solid gold but they changed it and they added some nutrient boost which is spray dried animal blood cells and animal plasma and I'm not letting my dog eat that! Shame on Solid Gold because my dog is 10 and he's super healthy but they just added this crap so that's why I'm changing his food cuz we will not be eating that anymore. I'm just giving you that information!

My dog loves it!!! I’ve been on the hunt for a dog food without barley in it. When dog foods say grain free evidently they don’t know barley is a grain with a whole lot of gluten.. he was so itchy. He had dog food that said gluten free but he still was licking and biting his feet and legs. After looking at the ingredients again I saw barley and realized that had to be it! I know how barley affects me! I don’t tolerate it at all, my neck muscles get so contracted I can’t turn my head and very painful! I saw this dog food and was impressed with the ingredients and all the fish they had in it which makes it highly digestible! I think it’s a dried kibble so I put a 1/2 cup of a freeze dried raw dog food on top. One of my cats likes that one too and sneaks a few pieces out of his dish! Only thing is I wish it came in bigger bags!
