This will help keep your appliance in tip-top condition!
In my opinion, a washing machine is a very important appliance. So, my view is you should spend the most you can afford to get the best performing machine for your budget. However, once you have that machine, it’s necessary to look after it in order for it to consistently do a good job of cleaning your clothes. Too many people seem to wait until the machine starts to have problems and/or give off bad odours before starting to do something about it. I subscribe to that old proverb: It’s easier to stop something happening in the first place than to repair the damage after it has happened! In other words, you need to keep your machine clean - particularly on the inside. With ours, after each use, I quickly wipe down the surface of the drum, and use a soft microfibre cloth to remove moister from the door glass and seal. If safe to do so, it’s also wise to leave that door open to allow the drum and seal to completely dry out - so that unsightly (and smelly) black mould doesn’t start appearing. It’s also necessary to periodically clean the drain filter which is usually located at the base of your machine (I mark it on the calendar, and do it every two months). Another area often overlooked is the detergent drawer, which is usually easy to remove and clean with a soft brush. In my experience, carrying out the above measures will usually prevent unpleasant odours from emanating from your machine. However, what the above steps won’t do is prevent limescale scale build up, or stop grease and detergent residue collecting on those internal components. That’s why we’ve been using this Wpro product for a few years now and have been more than happy with the results. It’s easy to use: Simply empty the contents of one sachet into the dispenser drawer (or directly inside your machine) and run an empty cycle on a minimum temperature of 60c, then just repeat the process every month - how easy is that! I do like that the cardboard pack has a monthly tick box ✅ printed on the rear, so it’s easy to keep tabs on when you last used a sachet in your machine. The product is made in Italy, and it’s reassuringly endorsed by many of the major appliance manufacturers. Given the effectiveness of this limescale/grease remover, and it’s reasonable price, I have no hesitation in recommending it to fellow Amazon customers. Many thanks for checking out my review, I do hope you found it of use.

Have to Assume it Worked,
My Hoover washing machine is 4 years old, and is used, on average, once per week. I have never used any of these washing machine cleaning products. I just assumed the machine would clean itself, after all if it's cleaning the clothes, why is it not cleaning itself? Anyway, the other day I opened the filter and noticed some chalk-like deposits. I live in a hard water area and so assumed it was a result of that. I purchased these and emptied two sachets into the soap draw. The instructions said use one, but as it was the first ever clean I thought I would use two. I also used a 90 degree wash cycle. The results? Well, I do think some people here are highly exaggerating. There was some of that black mould build up in the rubber seal near the door before the cleaning. It was still there afterwards, though it did seem to be a little less. Has it removed the limescale inside the machine? Well, I have to assume it has and take the manufacturer's word for it. After all, I can only see inside the drum (which was not limed-scaled up to start with). I cannot see the innards of the machine, so who knows? But I purchased a box of 12 sachets and so I will continue to use one on a monthly basis as recommended. I also did not notice any "fresh" smell inside. Is it worth getting? Hard to say, but I suppose it can't do any harm.
