This product is absolutely amazing. I was kind of skeptical and started with a medium boiled egg, and it was perfect. It then went ahead and made a soft boiled egg, and it was right on the mark. I don’t know how they figured this out, but definitely a great product. I was always afraid of making soft boiled eggs, because I did not want to undercook it, but this product took out all of the guess work. 100% recommend.

Before using this product, soft boiled eggs were always a hit or a miss. Now they are perfect every time. Handles heat well. Cute little picture to guide you. Definitely worth the few bucks.

My order of 2 lasted 22 months before they cracked along the sandwiched "paper" and they're now pink but they still seem to work... for now.

I purchased one for my mother and one for myself and I'm going to get one more to give to a friend who saw it at my house and thought it was adorable.It works perfectly every time! You pop it in the water at the same time you put your eggs in and the corresponding colors gradually disappear as the temperature increases, so you can monitor exactly how cooked the eggs are getting. Its basically a kind of thermometer, so it is going to be more accurate than a timer because it's going off of the actual temperature in the water. A timer isn't always perfect because the cooking time can vary depending on how cold your eggs are, how many eggs go in the pot, etc.It has been perfectly accurate for whatever type of egg I want to cook. Its such a handy useful item to have in the kitchen. As a little tool that will potentially never stop working, never needs batteries and can never break it is well worth purchasing!
