Compact quiet travel shaver - EDITED...
I have only had this 4 days but have used it every day and it is a quick and easy way to shave. It doesn't seem to drag or cause any irritation, but it might do if your face isn't completely dry. I wouldn't use it too soon after a shower. It shaves pretty close, but not quite as close as a wet shave, so is ideal for an 'in between' tidy up. It is too soon to tell how long it will last but if you register online within 28 days you get 3 years warranty. As it is meant to be a travel charger it probably isn't intended for every day use. I haven't run the battery down yet but they claim a fully charged one should run for 30 minutes. The first charge from new needs 24 hours and it takes 8 hours to charge after that. They recommend running it flat every 6 months and then give it 24 hours again. Being a very quiet runner it gives the impression of not being very powerful but it didn't slow down whilst using it. It is a bit of a fiddle cleaning it properly but a few light taps of the shaving head on the edge of the sink and most of the clippings fall out ready for a quick brush. Overall I am pleased with my purchase, but time will tell. A few other reviewers report early failures.EDIT December 2024...6 years later and it is still going strong. I use it regularly, the head is still intact, and a charge still lasts for ages.

Excellent value for money
I wrote this about the R91 back in 2012 and it could equally apply to the R95:I've found this shaver good for travelling, it's light and the charge lasts at least a fortnight, and gives an acceptable shave. To clarify a couple of points. It is mains or battery but is not supplied with a recharge adaptor, you would have to buy one separately. Also, it does not have a side burns trimmer, which I find a bit of a nuisance. A perhaps trivial point is that there is no case supplied and the head protector comes of easily in a toilet bag (This has been cured for the R95 and the head protector stays on more frimly).I have only had to buy a new shaver because I dropped the R91 once to often and the case cracked. I hope the R95 gives such good service.

... me to get to parts he r91 was getting worse so that's excellent but should those heads rotate it ...
Four stars at moment as mine may be faultyHave had the old version r91 four years and despite me saying time to get new one it kept working and still does just not as clean shave as it use to so ordered the r95 the rotary heads don't seem to move round on my r91 they rotate as soon as power on these don't currently on charge so will see what happens after but again the r91 can be on last legs and still heads always rotate yes blades are cutting straight out of box the charge left in allowed me to get to parts he r91 was getting worse so that's excellent but should those heads rotate it concerns me if not rotating then is that going to wear it out sooner? Please if anyone can confirm Btw looking at picture on here it shows to me head with blue arrows going clockwise I presume that does mean head should rotate but again what are other people doing?

Superb
I broke the foil on my Braun razor a year ago and was looking for something cheap to replace it with. I am retired and don't have to shave every day as a result. I was originally looking for a Phillips battery shaver, like the one I had 30 years ago when my eye alighted on this. I though "well it's not very much, it's rechargeable so no batteries, let's give it a whirl". Recharge does take a long time but I only have to do it every 7 weeks! It gives a perfect shave and is the best razor I have ever had. I did get my Braun repaired but I don't know why I bothered because I never use it. This Remington is just the best ever

A good small travel shaver
3 stars may be a little unfair as this is a travel shaver and so it should not really be compared to other shavers. The good thing for me is that it is small and light - there is a head cover and it just goes in my 'odds and ends' bag along with other stuff like chargers/cables/euro adapter etc when I am travelling (I travel 'light' and my normal shaver takes up too much room plus adds too much weight). It of course only needs a shaver cable to charge (but be aware that this is the standard UK shaver plug and in many other countries you will need an adapter). The actual shave it provides is OK but not as close as my normal remingtons and it does take more time. Because it takes up more time I found that the charge ran out after 4 days so taking the cable is necessary for more than a weekend away.

Bargain electric razor that is fit for purpose
This razor is a bargain. A shaver adapter is required in order to put in a 3 pin Uk plug, so keep that in mind. It appears very well made, it’s light and is comfortable in the hand, in use. I tend to have a beard, but at work, I need to shave if I go to a area that has the possibility of COVID 19 present, in order for any masks to have en effective seal. The handiness of this razor is, therefore, a key selling point for me. Combined with a beard trimmer, this has enabled me to shave without experiencing razor rash. I recommend this item whole heartedly for guys that normally wear beards. Rob Bishop

A great portable razor
This is I think, the fourth of these small, portable Remington razors that I have bought over the years. That should tell you everything.Providing that you do not have a Desperate Dan beard, this little rechargeable is great.Small, lightweight and with a good, smooth cut, it is all that most people would ever need.It charges quickly, and holds that charge well (easily enough for two weeks holiday), is easy and simple to disassemble and put back together for cleaning.Based on past experience it lasts me about two to three years. All this for the cost of one large pack of wet shave razor blades. You will need a shaver plug adaptor to charge it if you don't have a built in bathroom shaver point.Highly recommended.
