Very nice accurate dial guage. Had it checked for accuracy & it was spot on. You will need to obtain a mounting bracket before you can use it but magnetic bases are easily obtainable or, if you're handy with tools you can fabricate one yourself. I'd recommend this one if you're looking for an accurate device.

This is spring loaded with a significant force. If you are measuring a deflection as a consequence to an applied force then it is not valid.

Draper make good quality tools and this dial gauge is no exception. It comes very well packaged and is very easy to use. I am very pleased with this dial gauge it does everything it is supposed to and it does it well.
