When I purchased this I didn’t think I would use it as often as I do. I have a small business so I use these for social media videos, grant submissions, and my whole family ended up using it for a group video we needed for a family event. The app and remote are extremely usefully when having to do several takes you don’t need to move from your spot just press a few buttons on the remote and it will take you to wherever in your script. It took me a while to realize you can also adjust the speed from the remote! I kept thinking it was a huge flaw but it was just my bad. I use my iPad mini for the script which the added expander fits it perfectly and I can use the different cutouts to have my phone in landscape or portrait. 10/10 purchase.

I’ve had this a few days only. However it’s solid aluminum, and just the right amount of what you need to do a little “amateur teleprompter” for YouTube (or whatever else you’re planning)…. Not terribly expensive. To piecemeal something like this, would be far more money for the quality you get with this. My only one single complaint isn’t with the product but with the shipping. It arrived in a plastic bag rather than a box. The product box was dented In really bad. I was positive when I opened it up the glass would be busted. Amazing the product case protected it. But that was just chance. It should’ve been broken, which would’ve wasted some of my time…. Only complaint. The remote, app, mounting hardware, case- perfect. Might buy a second one honestly in case I want another and can’t find in the future… you know how things tend to come and go. Get it while it’s hot I suspect!!! Happy with the purchase.

I was just using a teleprompter app on my phone, and it would often take me 8 or 9 takes to get it right. Sometimes I'd need to slow it down, speed it up, etc. With this, the prompter is landscape vs portrait, so you can have more words per line, and the remote makes it easier to speed up or slow down as needed. I have cut the 8 or 9 takes down to 1 or 2. Not only am I saving time in the number of takes, but also the frustration. Makes it much easier to cut videos for work - which means I look forward to doing so vs some level of dread. Very easy to put together and use. Attaches easily to a standard tripod. Would buy it again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend!

The teleprompter itself works well, I added an quick release plate to the back of it to quickly attach the camera. I've only got two complaints:1) The bracket for the phone folds up so tightly under the glass that it's very easy to open it in the wrong order and break the glass. There's a warning label, but it's an obvious flaw in the design in that it requires a label.2) The bluetooth remote doesn't seem to present as a standard HID device, so it won't work with third party apps. I wasn't expecting much out of the official app. It's alright, but definitely has some limitations. It'd be better if the remote was designed to be more universal so it'd be usable with third party apps.Overall, still very good value and I'm happy with the purchase. Has some flaws, but still perfectly usable.

The Box shows an attachment for iPads but it doesn’t come with those attachments. This unit is only designed for phones no other attachments are included in this kit. The picture on the box and advertising for this teleprompter is misleading. Returned.

Bad, bad. Bad design and even worse instructions. I struggled for an hour and when I thought I was ready, the remote had no batteries! Are you guys really that cheap!?

Just a few years ago it would have sounded downright silly for an average person to own a teleprompter. They were the province of TV news anchors and politicians, but not something that would be useful to the masses. With the growth of content creation online, that is no longer the case. I've done some television work and have never used a teleprompter myself but some people swear by them. I've always just used bullet point notes but there's a definite advantage to not having to look down at your desk when you can just look straight ahead.NEEWER has a solid reputation among content creators for well made, functional and high quality equipment sold at a decent value price point. They've also got a 'creative streak' and you never really know what you'll see them come up with next. With little experience in buying and configuring a teleprompter, having the NEEWER name on the marquee gave me a lot of confidence that it would work and work well. One of the really impressive things about this device is how versatile it is. I've seen teleprompters that work with large iPad type tablets, but this can be configured to work with large tablets, small tablets, smartphones, etc.Also impressive is how easy it is to configure the teleprompter for recording with a camera or smartphone. There's also a drawstring sun hood for shooting with a DSLR camera. The teleprompter is mountable on a tripod via a 1/4" mount point. There's also a long cold shoe slot on the top of the device perfect for lights, microphones, etc. I've seen similar teleprompter kits that perform the basic function OK, but offer nothing to facilitate using it for shooting a video. NEEWER's product covers both needs and covers them well.The teleprompter works great and is easy to set up and control with an included remote control or a smartphone app. The text is reflected very clearly and everything is extremely legible. There is a bit of a 'learning curve' to learning to work with a teleprompter, but you won't be held back by any issues with the device itself or its ability to display text.For me at least, the most impressive thing about the NEEWER teleprompter is how well it works for content creation. Some of the other devices I've seen force you to cobble together an improvised solution. While you can do a lot with industrial strength Velcro and a little ingenuity, that's no replacement for a product that was designed with content creators in mind. NEEWER seldom (if ever) disappoints and they've definitely delivered the goods here. Highly recommended!

I received this item today, I am just finished setting it up. I’m usually too lazy to write reviews, but this item is too good. The build quality is great. My iPhone 12 Pro Max gets installed, flawlessly. The reflection is great. All and all this is a great buy.

Great value for the money. I tested many compact teleprompters and many are junk or too complicated to install. I especially dislike the types that uses rings so the camera lens support the whole teleprompter; not good. One of the main reasons I bought this Neewer X1 Pro was its compact folded size and the fact it came with a nice carrying case. I did not need the manual to assemble it; it’s pretty straightforward and intuitive. I like the fact that it’s frame can hold a decent size camera or smartphone; I use it with my Fujifilm X-T4. I did not try it with my iPhone as a camera, so I cannot comment on this; but it comes with several caches that would fit very well I believe. The frame is made of metal, the hood is made of some kind of thick plastic and canvas that completely folds; its got magnets so its very easy to install it to the top of the main frame. Another nice feature I have not seen elsewhere is the top rail of the main frame that act as a long cold shoe where you can install mini lights an microphone; since this cold shoe spans the whole width of the teleprompter, it’s easy to precisely install the accessories. The spring loaded smartphone or tablet holder can accommodate almost a 7 inches width device. Included in the kit is a good Bluetooth remote that works well with the free iOs software available on the app store. The app is Ok but it’s a no frills thing with only basic features. I own a better app but I could not get the Neewer remote to work with it; I can use my presentation remote though. A small inconvenience is having to do with the foldable mirror; when it’s unfolded there’s no retaining clip to keep it from folding back if you tilt the whole thing while you install it on a tripod. It does not slam very hard but it’s a bit annoying; I will probably find something to keep it from moving once deployed and add some felt to the frame to avoid it knocking it too hard. All in all this compact 9 inch teleprompter is great if you do not want a dedicated unit and having the possibility to easily carry it for a gig.

YouTubeの自撮りの撮影用途で使用しました。カメラ目線で長い文章を覚えて話すということはかなり難しく、何度も取り直しをするというのが日常茶飯事です。しかしこれがあればカンペを読んでいるだけなので、どれだけ長い文章でも全く臆することなく撮影に臨むことができます。しかもテロップを送りながら表示するアプリがかなり使いやすく、インタビュアーがいない撮影でサイドからのカットが欲しい時、三脚に端末を据えつけて被写体に読んでもらえればすごく自然な感じで噛むことなく撮影が行えます。またカメラを仕込んだ状態でミラーに反射させて表示した際の視認性についですが、スマホだと読みづらいかもと思って使い始めたのですが、すごく見やすく十分でした。少し使いづらかった点は、重い装備のカメラで撮影したいという場合にはカメラを据えつけるステーの部分の強度が低いので、カメラが水平になりません。少しズームにするなどしないとケラレになりますので微調整が必要です。しかし不満な部分と言えばこのくらいで、値段のことを考えると必要十分以上の便利な製品かと思います。このような製品がこの価格で買えるというのは本当に凄い時代になったなーとつくづく思ってしまいます。

カメラの前にハーフミラーを立てて、下からスマホやタブレットに表示させた画面をハーフミラーに写すことで、スマホやタブレットの画面を見ながらカメラ目線で撮影が出来ます。撮影用のカメラはデジイチやビデオカメラはもちろんスマホもセッティングできるようになっています。NEEWERテレプロンプターアプリを使うと付属リモコンで原稿送りのコントロールが出来るので使いやすいと思います。上手く工夫すれば生配信のコメント表示にも応用できるかもしれません。
