under carpet
Cold concrete floorsTook Carpets up took skirting boards off, laid sfuf lapped up walls, taped joins and edges, refitted skirting and then laid carpet grippers,Refitted carpets,No noise(was worried about foil crunchy noise)It just feels like a thicker underlay, but I think if you have a longer pile you won't even notice it's there.Job done warmer room!If you cannot fit Kingspan etc due to lack of room this is a good place to start,It's definitely made the room retain heat more and hopefully in winter will cut down our bills,With gas prices continuing to rise it's a must to insulate where ever you can, this should pay for itself within the year.Update December 2021:the room temperature is definitely higher it's definitely working, ,only grumble is you can feel the joins under the carpet and underlay, but we do have a flat carpet, I'd say if it was a longer pile maybe you wouldn't,Thinking about trying laminate flooring over it and see if that's better, spoken to manufacturer and they're advice is it's fine for laminate flooring. But it's definitely working with heat retention,Definitely Recommended
