SNARKTuner (AIR-1)

Snarks have been around for quite awhile and regarded as excellent tuners. I favor small hidden headstock tuners, but I do like the lighted power button. Looks cool on the headstock and the tuner can be located underneath, but it can be slightly difficult to read even with the flip display option. The display is bright and easy to read. The tuner also works great with my 4 string electric bass and 12 string acoustic guitar. Because the display is big and bright, it will drain the battery. So it's good to shut off when not tuning. The battery lasts about one session or gig (4 hours or so with constant ON), so bring a spare. Recharging takes a couple of hours with the USB. On the best tuners I've used and got a drawer full of different brands.

This is my favorite tuner of all time. The display goes on the back of your headstock. The footprint on the front is very small. The display can be easily switched from horizontal to vertical with three taps. Display is bright and readable, even in direct sunlight. Sturdily built, works great on all my basses and guitars. Strong clamp so it never flies or falls off. And best of all, it's rechargeable. The fast recharge lasts a long time. I've tried so many headstock tuners over the years. The Snark Air is by far the best.

The media could not be loaded. Great low profile tuner but needs some definite improvements.Check the video it shows how the touch sensor is a slower speed touch. If you do it fast it won’t work. Slow down and it works just fine.Can also get turned on inadvertently as any touch can trigger the sensor.The battery life of this rechargeable tuner seems to be lacking and I have to charge it with not a lot of usage. Tuners with 2032 batteries last significantly longer.The read out is visible in direct sunlight and I personally like the colors a lot.However the read out seems a bit rudimentary and like older technology.It’s a great first gen tuner but there’s plenty of room for improvement here.

Great tuner, fast and easy to use. Stays charged for days.

Snarks are pretty much unbeatable for quickness and accuracy, this tuner is no different, and I especially love that a 3 second hold rotates the display 90 degrees, that’s brilliant. And it’s invisible, and small enough and attached most securely that it’s about impossible to knock off. I’d give it five stars if not for the one big con that the battery is spent every single time I pick up the guitar if it sits for any time at all. At first I thought I might have accidentally brushed the tuner while putting the guitar away, but after being careful several times, no, it discharges when off and in the case.Good enough on all the other stuff, that I just bought another one, and one is always plugged in. Got a gig? Change out for the new one, and you’re good to go. Such a pain though, I should only be having to recharge once a week at the most.

I'm a beginner guitar player. The tuner works well. I put it to the test and had a fan on while having a conversation. I was still able to properly and effectively tune my guitars with this tuner, through all the noise. It's great. However, the main reason I leave this review is simple: it looks cool. The design and the LEDs appeal to me with the same quality tune that snark is supposed to provide. I'm a staunch advocate for getting things that look cool because you're more likely to pick them up and use them. I did it with my guitar, I did it with my amp, and now I'm doing it with my tuner. This tuner plays a part in why I practice until my fingers hurt badly enough where I can't play anymore. It looks cool! I look forward to tuning to standard and trying different tunings because of that fact. Get whatever you would like, but if you want this tuner over another simply because it looks cool, just go for it. You'll have a quality tuner that you look forward to using.

I own 8 SNARK tuners, 2 are the SNARK (AIR-1).This is an upgrade to the well established regular SNARK although it costs a bit more, it works well, looks good, simple charging, nice and bright and tunes easily. It is smaller overall and now stays on the back of my headstock permanently, even fits in the hard case with the lid down so, I'm not without it or an untuned Guitar.

The best tuner of this type that I’ve come across. Great price and super easy to use. I’ve used them on my acoustics, electrics, bass and ukulele.It’s super easy to fit to any type of headstock and see the display on the front or back of the headstock.
