ACLOPHD1194HP High Performance Oil Pump for Honda

Works well and my oil pressure is great. I did run into two solvable issues, though:1) This fits like a stock OBD-2 oil pump, so OBD-1 cars will need to update to the wider OBD-2 lower timing cover to fit this. Only that very bottom piece needs to be changed; the other pieces fit the same. I got one for cheap at the local junkyard.2) After a day at the track, I found that the crankshaft oil seal had leaked a bit of oil... Not a lot, but enough for just a little to make its way onto my front left tire and I had noticed a small loss of grip in right turns as a result. I'm replacing it with a new OEM Honda seal, and I expect that will solve the issue, as I've had good results with those before.

Great oil pump

I wish I could give it a zero star but it’s not allowed so here’s why I’m giving it a one star. I install this brand new oil pump on my 96 spec ITR engine hoping that it’ll produce better oil pressure instead it does the total opposite at idle it’ll produce the stock oil pressure level of 20 psi after 30 minutes of driving then when I get into the vtec range and higher it drops down. At vtec it holds at 75-79 psi and then dips down to the 35-40 psi after 6500-7400 rpm I lose a whole bunch of power after 6500 rpm and feels like the engine is not producing anymore power. I’m running on a stock type r ecu with no check engine light on and still can’t produce any power after 6500 rpm I also tried a chip p28 with a Mugen tune and same result. I just decided to take the oil pump off and put the old type r oil pump back in and sure enough it solved the problem I can rev the engine smoothly throughout the whole rpm range and have no power lost. Hopefully you guys can fix your future ones but I’m never purchasing another oil pump from this company again.

Stripped the pickup tube threads installing it at the manufacturer spec of 8 ft/lbs.
