very good squad level tactical WW2 game. excellent in all facets. have nearly everyone and this is right there with the others. krohn (?) other 2 games are Talon and Space Empires both excellent too.do yourself a favor and check this one out too. no combat tables to look up. plays very well and realistic. more fire a unit receives the less likely it will respond to orders. move in the open and die...fire & maneuver. AFVs are included with front and back armor. arty, weapon teams etc etc. very nice maps. quality parts.

This is the best squad level combat table top sim I've ever played. It's simplified system of suppress, move, fire, engage doesn't reward foolishness like charging machine gun nests in the open, or charging an infantry line in a tank unassisted.Worth every penny, and well supported by the author on board game geek forums. This second edition is just great.

I've been playing detailed wargames since the 1980's. I was introduced to them at MIT. The games I like are the ones that are well researched, that reward game play that is historical, and punish game play that goes against known tactics of the period. The Band of Brothers series of games does just that. However, it gets 5 stars for doing it in a really rational and easy to learn way. This is not a difficult game to play. It is a difficult game to master! The training scenarios are great. The series of games is well supported by fans and the author. If you think you'd like a very tactical game of WWII in the European and Soviet theaters - this is one you should consider. The Pacific theater is being addressed in the next game of the series. The high quality of the components, the simplicity of the game's mechanics, and the overall support are what make this game standout.
