This is a winner
As an ex teacher I have to say I love this book, although I am now using it with a niece rather than a whole class. I really believe growth mindset allows children to grow and develop in both learning and confidence, and this book is both child friendly in the way it is set out and asks its questions, and also parent friendly - you don't need a degree to be able to help your children answer those questions. The book is bright and colourful, and uses lots of stories and scenarios to help your child put this into the context of their own life. It is also, and this is so important, fun - with colouring activities, short stories and word searches that all help to develop thinking, and which my niece is truly excited about.I like the fact that you can just dip into this - you don't need to spend hours on end, just maybe do one or two activities per night, but i would follow it as it is set out for your child to get the best out of the activities. I love that you can also access free resources to support this on the Daddilife website. There is also the chance for children to record their own feelings in a 7 day journal, something which is a great way of getting kids to voice their feelings.I would definitely recommend this for parents who worry about their children's confidence, attitude to learning, or just want to continue to develop their child in a positive way.

An important tool for children to learn how to care for their mental well-being!
Post lockdown and looking after children's mental well-being has never been more important. This book offers the prescription needed to invite children aged 6-12 to work either together with an adult, or on their own depending on age, to find answers to questions they may not otherwise have asked themselves, which will set them up for a lifetime of self belief. We are too programmed to think we cannot when what the ideas behind these simple tasks create offer the principle that we absolutely can. Manifestation if you will, to ensure that we know we have the ability within us to be more, do more and achieve more if we believe we can. It's a fun set of exercises with a purpose of powerful proportions and for my ten year old son perfect, especially at this time when he is applying for secondary schools. We just need to ignite in them that they have the world at their fingertips rather than drive the more common stance that we have to accept what we have now and no more. I think it's informative and creative as well as empowering. A really great book!

A real gem!
This book helps children to overcome challenges, to learn the skills of problem solving and to practice resilience. The workbook is a gem. It contains 60 activities for children to work through and a 7 day journal for them to document their thoughts, intentions and progress. The book helps children to learn all about their own mind, giving them a little insight into how it all works. They are also given help and advice on overcoming challenges and how to approach mistakes. The activities also help them to understand how to be a great problem solver as well as how to embrace and have the confidence to try new things. It also helps them to look at what they would like to do and who they would like to be and the steps they can take to get there. I was really impressed with this book. It features bright illustrations and graphics and is laid out in a really accessible way in manageable chunks which is great for keeping children engaged.

A Book all Parents need on their Shelves!
They say parenting doesn't come with a manual but this book comes pretty close to being a helpful parenting manual when it comes to helping children build self-confidence and work on a positive mindset. The book perfectly balances being helpful for both adults and children and provides 60 activities for children to complete and a great 7-day journal. My daughter is 8 and we are slowly working through the book together it's been fantastic. I have noticed a more positive mindset in how she looks at herself and her friendships and even some of her class teachers have commented on how useful the book looks. She has loved the variety of fun and thought-provoking activities and I can really see this book helping to build her self confidence up which is amazing. I also really liked how the book made me as a parent approach things too and it has definitely made me consider a few things I maybe used to do that were not very helpful!Overall a fantastic book and one I think everyone should have on their shelves, after all we could all use a little more self confidence in our lives right?

My daughter loves this book
This has been a great tool for my 6 year old in learning growth mindset and positive thinking techniques, so I definitely recommend. The activities are fun and engaging. The only part I can't get past are the odd typos/errors all throughout the book. It doesn't seem like it was edited very well.

I’m really impressed with this workbook.
The skills and activities are incredibly valuable while still being engaging and entertaining. They encourage great discussions within our family. Our favorite activity was “Success of the Day.” It was really fun coming up with a list of all the positive things that happened. And it’s also helped keep MY mindset positive.I can see how the activities are making a difference and am really hoping to see a “teen” version in the future.
