"WIND RIVER follows U.S. Fish & Wildlife agent CORY LAMBERT (Jeremy Renner) as he is forced to confront his past when he joins a rookie FBI agent in a quest to solve a murder on the Wind River Indian Reservation in Wyoming. Cory Lambert discovers a body in the rugged wilderness of the Wind River Indian Reservation. The situation is eerily similar to the death of his own daughter. The FBI sends rookie agent JANE BANNER (Elizabeth Olsen) to investigate. A Florida native, Jane is completely unprepared for the oppressive weather and isolation that is the essence of winter in Wyoming, and the extreme difficulties it places on the investigation. She employs Cory as a guide and tracker to assist her. Together, they venture deep into a world ravaged by violence and the elements. While Jane is compelled to rely more on her instincts than her education, Cory is forced to confront emotions buried years ago as the possibility of solving not only this murder, but also the disappearance of his Review: This is a great movie on the edge of your seat. You will watch it more than once! - Where do I start? SMH. I watch this movie several times a week. It's a Taylor Sheridan (Yellowstone) movie. It's just amazing. People today keep yelling about racism and the government owes me this and that! I'm treated soo bad. Well... no one is treated as bad as the American Indian. We should be ashamed. Yes.. there are some government programs to help them yet they are not easy for them to get. The government makes sure of that. This movie is an eye opener. It shows how society continues to treat them and hold them back. It's like they are fighting against the wind. A battle they will never win. The acting is perfect! Jeremy Renner and Gil Birmingham (Twilight) and Graham Green are amazing. They show the pain and the resilience of the Native American Indian spirit! A wonderful movie. Very moving. Review: A fantastic but tragic murder mystery thriller - "You can't steer from the pain. If you do, you'll rob yourself." - see below for full quote. Wind River is a fantastic, gripping and tragic murder mystery set on a frigid Wyoming Native American reservation. The writer/director Taylor Sheridan hits his stride with this one. He channels the pain of those that have lost children and the harsh realities of life on the reservation. He also choreographed several scenes that are some of the most intense action scenes in any movie, period. Jeremy Renner and Elizabeth Olsen literally disappear into their roles as the game warden and FBI agent respectively. That is no small task given the notoriety they've gained with their roles in The Avengers This is one of those movies you can watch multiple times and still enjoy every moment. Went to a grief seminar in Casper. Did you know that? I don't know why. Just wanted the bad to go away. Wanted answers... to questions that couldn't be answered. The counselor come up to me after the seminar and sat down next to me. And he said something that stuck with me. I don't know if it's what he said, or how he said it. He says, "I got some good news, and I got some bad news. Bad news is you're never gonna be the same. You're never gonna be whole, not ever again. You lost your daughter. Now the good news is, as soon as you accept that, and you let yourself suffer... you allow yourself to visit her in your mind, and you'll remember all the love she gave you, all the joy she knew." Gripping, Emotional, and Full of Tension
Wind River is one of those rare movies that pulls you in from the first scene and keeps you there. It’s beautifully shot, with a haunting atmosphere that makes you feel the cold right through the screen. The story is powerful without ever dragging, and it manages to be sad, exciting, and full of action all at once. No spoilers here — just know that if you’re looking for a film that’s intense, well-acted, and will stick with you long after the credits roll, this is it.

You'll want to place this film on your "MUST WATCH" list.
A poignant film. Acting at all levels was stellar. Story line mesmerizing. It is on my top 20 favorite films. Jeremy Renner was outstanding in his betrayal of his character. Highly recommended.

Wind River Movie
Great story. Great actors. Lots of snow! I don't want to give too much of the storyline away --- just watch it as I think you'll agree it's one of Taylor Sheridan's best!
