Decent for money
They work. Bought for kids. They caught fish. Nothing broke. Pretty nice combos for the money.

Good product
The box was crushed when I received it. The pole was not damaged, and even though I ordered the blue one I received a red one. The pole works great and Shakespeare fishing poles are a good product. I will continue to purchase them in the future.

The good and the bad
Giving 3 stars for now. Bought two of these for my kids. One worked wonderfully but the second fell apart on the third cast. Small screw flew out into the water. Sending in for a refund. Will update rating based on how the process goes.

DO NOT go by the picture on the item description. It is the wrong picture. This is not the "push button" type fishing reel with rod. This is for a spinning type reel with a bail that needs to be flipped and the line held in order to cast... which is fine, but not good for kids or the beginner fisherman and it is not the picture depicted for the item description. Search the model number and you will be able to see the what rod / reel combination you will actually be receiving.
