So I’ve always had dead curls and pieces that are just straight because my hair hates me. Can’t fix the few straight pieces but this definitely helps with the curls!But a word of advice or common sense... if you use shampoo that does not benefit your curls, this will not work as well as you are hoping. It’s like trying to curl your hair while blow drying it with a brush. It’s gonna be more wavy than curly. I also purchased the shampoo with this and, as a team, they are incredible. Without them I barely have curls, even when using other curly hair shampoos. They don’t work for my hair. I use these two, and sometimes the kinky moves cream, and I have beautiful banana curls. Unfortunately one side of my head has some of those hairs that just fall completely straight. I apologize to whoever has hair like that, as it is not a miracle worker and will work with the hair that is already prepared to naturally curl. But I twist or braid my hair back on that side usually anyway, so it doesn’t matter much to me that it can’t work beyond a conditioner’s capability. It smells so incredible, and my husband loves how my hair smells with it. My hair is super soft after using it. Great change from being coarse and knotted. When pregnancy started the texture of my hair changed from fine to coarse. This conditioner amazingly brings it as close to its pre-pregnany feel as possible - which is very exciting for me as I’ve always had feather soft hair when I took good care of it.But again, this works with your natural hair. It doesn’t perform miracles. If your hair naturally has thick, amazing banana curls, it will bring them out when you use the other products with it that do the same. If your hair is stubborn, it’s only a conditioner. It won’t break the will of your hair. :)I don’t really buy hair products from any company except NYM now that I’ve found these. Best company I’ve found for my hair. I’ve gone through a lot of companies and had given up on having nice curls. This brand was kind of a shot in the dark without much confidence behind it, as I only use natural products on my hair and skin and thought the smell would be awesome. Currently using a charcoal shampoo to help with dandruff and then using these products after to bring all my curls alive. NEVER EVER USING ANOTHER COMPANY FOR MY CURLS.

My daughter is 4 and has really tight curls. We normally finger comb through her hair in the bath with conditioner in it. We have previously been using V05 and just cowashing. The first difference I noticed was I didn't have to use a lot of the conditioner like I previously did with the V05. The second thing I noticed was the curls were defining a lot better/more even before I got to finger comb through that part of her hair. The third thing I noticed was her problematic spot, on the back of the head, even had no problem curling. It smells really good and i'm very happy with the results, especially for the price. I will continue to purchase. I would just order at least a week before you need it. For whatever reason, my whole order was late. I actually had to put in a replacement order for this and the curl definer I ordered. I ordered a gel at the same time, but it wasn't guaranteed two-day shipping because it was too far. This was supposed to be delivered with Prime shipping on Monday, but I got it on Sunday evening. The replacement order did meet the Prime two-day shipping, but I still have yet to receive my original package, a full week later than expected delivery. The gel was scheduled for Saturday - it's now Tuesday - is not here either. I'm not sure what happened this week, maybe Thanksgiving Holiday, but like I said, just don't run out and need it in the two days.Update: I washed my daughters hair when I got this Sunday evening. It’s now Friday morning and her hair still looks amazing. She hasn’t been sleeping with anything on her hair and it has needed 0 touch ups. I just cowashed her hair and it took all of 5 minutes (when it previously took 30min-hour.) I fully recommend this product.

I have used this once so far and it is a very good conditioner for curly hair. The smell is amazing and it works well so far. It leaves my hair moisturized and helps with tangling. I was able to brush my hair after the shower pretty easily which doesn’t always happen. I do not have oily hair so I do not know how much that would work for someone with oily hair.

This conditioner "melts" your hair and I mean that in the best way possible. Instant silky smoothness and combability like literally nothing I've ever tried in my 33 years on this planet. My hair looks and feels so much better now that this is my only conditioner. I'm even getting away with skipping my deep conditioning treatments! It's a bonus that it smells like a snack.

The smell is fantastic. Not too overpowering, but just right. My daughter has thick hair with tangles and this thick conditioner is one of her favorites. Makes the hair soft and at the price, can’t be beat.

Smells great, but leaves my hair fluffy and underconditioned. The formula isn’t thick enough to fully hydrate my hair in the intense humidity of summers where I live, so I have to bolster it with additional products to keep my hair tamed. Once again, it smells AMAZING but I’m a little disappointed since NYM usually makes amazing products :c

This was the cheapest conditioner I could find that fits with the "Curly Girl Method" guidelines. It seems to work just as well as any other conditioner and smells very good. I don't like the shampoo of this line, but this works well with any other shampoo. It smells very good, but is pretty subtle. I'm not usually able to smell it in my hair after I've rinsed it out.It doesn't leave my hair feeling greasy or stringy like some and is easy to rinse out.
