Great for the price
I never have to worry about my battery running out while I’m taking videos. I just run the cord along the top of my mount-and plug it right into the surge protector there is plenty of cord to allow you to move freely while the camera is plugged in. Very easy to use and installation is simple good quality and have no issues.

Works great!
First off, I'm no photographer and really have no business owning a camera. Simple packaging, super easy to put together, fits tight in the camera. When I first plugged it in, the camera wouldn't turn on. What I didn't realize was that there's a cutout on the Canon t6i for the cable to feed through so you can close the battery case. If the case isn't closed, you won't get power. There's probably directions in there but I don't read so good. Other than my rookie mistake *which is my fault* this works great and has a good reach on the cable. Works great, definitely recommend if you're doing extended shoots.

Does not work with my new Canon T8i (Update, it works(
I've read a lot of reviews and the same happened to me. I though the device didn't work but it was a matter of closing the lid on the battery chamber. To do that (on a Canon T8i at least) you have to find a little rubber piece that allows you to get the cable out and close the lid. See the picture."""""""""""""""""""""""""""""It just doesn't work. No power whatsoever. Maybe it came damaged. Returning

I guess you get what you pay for...
I bought this item because at $150.00, the Canon version was a bit more than I wanted to pay. At $20.99, it looked like a bargain, but as the title says you get what you pay for. I plugged the power cord in attacked the sections as directed and put the power block (simulated battery) in the camera, and NOTHING the entire unit was dead on arrival no power indication anywhere. Upon giving this a more detailed look one problem may be that the battery block has four contact points while the my Canon t6i has only three contact points. Possibly, the wrong battery block for the camera? The title says it works in the Canon t6i, but the connectors do not match. The more I look at this thing, the more I led to believe that they simply either screwed up on the advertising or they shipped the wrong item. The amazon ad clearly states that it is for "For Canon EOS Rebel T6i T6s T7i SL2 SL3 750D 760D 800D 77D 200D 250D Kiss 8000D X8i DSLR Camera".. I have a Canon T6i, and the block that stands in for the actual battery in the camera, even when the camera battery door is closed and latched, rattles around loosely in the battery compartment. The block on the power adapter is shaped similarly to the actual battery but it is NOT the same size, and I suspect that this is why the device fails to power the camera, because the size difference does not allow the block to make contact with the cameras power connector.

Great power source for a Canon t7i/800D
Bought this to power a Canon T7i/800D when streaming or recording video. Sometimes you just need something with more longevity than the battery can give you. This definitely does the trick.Pros:- Fits perfectly in the battery compartment.- Cord is plenty long enough for what I need it to do.- The camera runs without any issues at all.Cons:- I didn't get it sooner. If you need a good AC power source for your DSLR, this one just might fit the bill. It's worth a look.
