What I like about that, is if I am working on a case, and do not want to be disturbed, I can just bring the doorbell back in the house. This unit has solved a dilemma I have been having for the last 4 years. I love this!This unit has a lot of useful features, including volume adjustments and the ability to change the ring tone. There are many other features, but so not to be redundant, you can just read the products description above, as well as other reviewers comments.The signal is strong and goes through walls without issue. As far as the sounds go, there are a ridiculous amount of options, from Kenny G (ha!) to techno music, to (thankfully) standard doorbell sounds,For those that thought the "postman always rings twice," our postman and/or delivery folks always find it necessary to play a symphony when Amazon comes calling.I will mention that the sound of the unit is very loud, and can be heard all over our 3,100 sq. foot home. You can't beat that!If you're houses doorbell took a dump and you want to replace it without hiring an electrician and possibly drywall guys, this is a great option.

Portable unit, can be placed anywhere free-standing or can be fixed to wall. The external bell push is quite a large unit, nearly half as big again in all dimensions as the previous bell push that was fitted; it is quite "in your face" especially with the rather prominent 1byone logo (non-removable) on the cover.The unit is easy to set up, ringtone volume is adjustable and the choice of ringtones is wide, in fact too wide or my tastes. The reason for only awarding four stars is that you cannot go backwards through the selection of ringtones, you can only move forwards and if you want to listen to an earlier ringtone you have to trawl all the way back through the 5000 ringtones(at least it seems like 5000 but in reality is probably more like 50). For the more conservative among us there are probably only about four or five acceptable ringtones.In the end I selected a nice sober "Ding Dong, Ding Dong" if only because by that time my wife was a near gibbering wreck pleading with me to "set anything you like, just shut off that infernal racket".

Absolutely delighted with this item..having purchased several 'well known branded' doorbells over a very short time,& costing a fortune at the same time for what I would call 'a heap of cheap junk'So... I decided to take a chance on a different brand, this one being my choice, I cannot recommend it enough, ample choice of chime sounds for you to select, & a good, well made quality bell press, also chime box, both design & colour pleasing to the eye, a strong sticky pad to attach & screws supplied too.You wont be disappointed should you purchase this item, Im certainly not & should it go wrong after a year, I will definitely buy another.. @ the price you cant go wrong...you certainly get more for your money than the ' reputable branded rubbish that costs 3x's....verdict :~ 10/10 from me.. All I wanted was a waterproof (waterproof being the main criteria) wireless bell that went ding dong.I spent ages researching prior to this purchase.The sound box is fine and appears to be well made and has a reasonable ding dong sound.My 1 Star review is solely based upon the push button unit but the sound box is of little use without means to actuate it!Note: I have been in electromechanical engineering most of my life.The push button unit does not inspire me. Following the instructions to use a flat screwdriver to press a plastic latch to release the cover seems acceptable, except, the fixed latch at the opposite end is levered upwards when you raise and remove the cover to fit the battery. That fixed plastic latch is then weakened which means the two pieces of the push button unit do not snap together with a click to form a waterproof seal and the fit is now slack. I would have expected a recessed screw in the rear push button unit to ensure an adequate tight fit of both parts to at least stand a chance of being waterproof! There is a compressible, recessed sealing strip between two parts of the push button unit that should stop the ingress of water, but a compression fit between the two parts is required and this is not apparent.I live on an area of clifftop that gets exposed to the full force of the British weather and other, previously purchased, push button units from other suppliers have failed quickly.My next purchase will be from a shop where I can actually see and review the product!Anyway, time will tell and I will update this review in future, if possible.

Good product. Works as advertised. Attractive and well-packaged, this product is easy to set up and install. Being wireless, you don't have to run any wires, and there's no transformer.?the signal had to go through one inch of poplar wood and then a brick wall. The Push Button is easy to recognize on the door The chime is clear and very 'beautiful' to the ear. Put the doorbell where you want it to go, for me it was on top of my old doorbell. I turned it around so the speaker faces outward instead of the wall.It's unbelievably loud and battery life is so far quite impressive. A good deal for the money.
