Disappointed
From an accuracy standpoint this scale is very good. No complaints there. The scale is very easy to calibrate and it hasn't required recalibration after several uses. My shipment came with one 100 gram weight inside the package and another 100 gram weight packaged separately in a plastic bag. I don't know if this was a mistake by Amazon or not, but it was a nice bonus to get two calibration weights with my purchase. Here are my main complaints about this scale:1. The auto shut off feature - This is extremely irritating and is the #1 reason I'm buying another scale. If you are trying to measure something that takes longer than 30 seconds to manipulate onto the measuring surface, like anything granular for example, then this is not the scale for you. It will drive you crazy that it times out before you are finished with your measurements. You have to constantly remove whatever it is you are measuring, zero out, and start all over again...in a rush no less...and try to finish before it shuts off again.2. The lid cannot be removed because it is also the digital display, which is fine, but it doesn't lay flat when the scale is being used and that's an issue. The measuring surface is rather small, which was expected because it is a pocket scale, but because it is so small it would be helpful if the lid laid flat so we could use a separate (and larger) tray to measure whatever it is we are measuring. The attached lid stays open at an angle which prevents the option of using a separate and larger tray. This forces you to use the small measuring surface which contributes to the timing issue I complained about above. In summary, if you are measuring harder items like gem stones then this scale would be perfect for you. But if you are measuring anything that takes time to manipulate, or if you like using larger trays to make measuring more convenient, then you should avoid this scale and find another model.

Comes calibrated, works FAST, light, not bulky.
Only reason I can't give 5 stars is that I don't have any professional experience with many scales.Really this scale is so fast and light and instructions were easy. For the price point I looked all around Amazon and one this accurate (though max weight is low admittedly), light, with different measurement options, AND a calibration weight- very happy with the value so far. And warranty is great.I'm not a jeweler so I can't give any expert advice- but I use this for making medicine capsules from bulk herbs or for breaking apart bought capsules that are too big. I find sometimes that vitamin K for example is cheapest in 500mcg capsules but only need 100mcg a day. Since I can't find bulk vitamin K I break apart the capsules and measure out a daily dose with water. The speed this calculates as as great as the $900 machine we use at work for the jewelers.edit: mcg instead of mg

Great except for 2 small things
I picked up this little scale for use with a hobby of mine. It requires that I have measurements of about 10-15 grams with .01g accuracy. However, I didn't want to spend an arm and a leg. I didn't need a portable scale, but the price was right, and the reviews were good.Overall I'm very happy with it. My measurements are consistent and accurate, but there are two problems I felt should be reported.First, it requires calibration more often than I would like. The cal only takes like 10 seconds so doing it every 4 or 5 uses isn't that big of a deal.Second, the lid with digital read-out remains in the tilted position so that you can read the scale. This is nice except when I need to place a larger container onto the plate. Sometimes I need something that is about 4 inches in diameter, but the lid interferes with the container. So I need to find something smaller but deeper. Which tends to be too heavy for the scale.Outside of those problems I'm extremely happy with it.

On balance, it's great!
I needed a scale to weigh accurately less than a gram of material; this little scale, so far, has done the job without flaw; it comes with a calibration weight that I used one time, and has held its calibration for two weeks or so. It's less affected by drafts than I had feared, is very repeatable. The only thing I don't like is that its automatic cutoff, which at one point says is one minute and at another is 30 seconds, in fact is if anything less than 30 seconds, which can be inconvenient; but one touch of the "On" button and it's back in business. For the very low price, this is really a bargain; I feel like I did when I bought my first calculator in 1970!

Excellent and Economical
Sure, this scale isn't something you would buy hoping to have a chrome plate, 14k Gold buttons and a diamond encrusted case. If you need a scale that can weigh even the lightest of items, and you aren't overly concerned about the surrounding plastic case, this is the way to go.I purchased this scale to measure out gunpowder, which is measured in Grains (much smaller than grams). Not only did this scale calibrate easily, but the tare/zero function is instant and seamless. I'm able to set my pan on the scale, tare/zero it out, pour in the gunpowder and have a dead-on accurate read to the tenth grain.I am very pleased with this purchase and it's been invaluable to my reloading hobby.

It's Pretty Good
Was correctly calibrated when I received it. Works well-enough to measure out my supplements.Cons: Tare doesn't work very well and will hop around sometimes, so I actually have to put my supplements on the plate itself, which is kind of annoying but okay overall. Just keep this in mind. A few people I know have the same scale and experience the same problem. The batteries get eaten up VERY QUICKLY if left in even overnight. You'll want to use high-quality batteries and make sure they're close to fully charged if rechargeable, otherwise everything magically starts getting lighter than it actually is after more than 5 seconds on the scale. Not super-high precise when dealing with amounts under 30mg. (0.03g)Overall:If you want a scale to dose yourself on supplements at 50mg or higher doses, this will do the job adequately. If you're a shady individual that does other things with their scale, go with something else!

Amazing accuracy for ultra low price!
Ok I paid less than $30 to get this delivered in about 5 days. Unbelievable accuracy to 1/100 of a gram!I cant believe it! If you blow on the scale it will register your breath!I tested this unit by adding up several pcs individually using the TARE feature to zero out a larger container, and then weighed all pcs together at once and reading was EXACTLY THE SAME TO 1/100 gram! AMAZING!!!Also tested by weighing what had been weighed in grams on 1/10 gram scale to compare- what a difference! 1 g might really be 1.5 g!!! look out!My only complaint: it takes a little effort to get the top to unlatch when you open it- it may just be my unit, but i have to press the button in with one hand and pop it open with my other... not really a big deal to me, since this built-in lid protects the delicate weighing platform area.In conclusion I would say that anyone buying a 1/10 gram scale is wasting their money- this 1/100 g scale is AMAZING!!!plus it comes with its own calibration weight!!! DO NOT HESITATE!

Not the best quality
The scale was pretty annoying from the first time I had used It. At first I thought It was just me not understanding how It works, but very quick I noticed, what I did was the right thing It's just A VERY DELICATE SCALE!!! Before every use I needed to do calibration to the scale which I didn't mind doing until-- It just stopped working less then 1 month after I got It and It was only used about 4 times.

Works but finicky
This scale is fine if you're willing to constantly turn it off and recalibrate in order to get a semi-accurate read. Overall, it doesn't deliver as advertised and is priced considerably more than its counterparts, mainly because it includes a 100 gram weight. I have used a more popular $10 scale from Amazon in the past, which worked much better and was more accurate. Will return

Use it in the kitchen
I make a lot of different concoctions when I cook. This is compact and perfect for smaller and lighter items. It was recommended by a friend who has a similar model, same manufacturer.

Affordable, Easy to Use, Sleek
I dig it, it's what it says it is. I guess I rate it so highly because an item like this has serious potential for being a disappointment or junk, and this isn't. Of course I don't use it all that much. I wish the scale part had edges or an attachment with edges ;)
