Nice for the price
Ordered this headset as I was tired of tangled cables, wanted a wireles headset, and knew that Asus had a good rep for quality products. After a couple of weeks use, I can say that it's a step above some the Logitech, Creative, or Turtle Beach headsets in the same price bracket.Sound reproduction is fine, with nice deep bass and crisp teble output. The headset itself feels fairly sturdy, without being too heavy, and sits comfortably on the head. It can feel a little uncomfortable after long periods if you also wear glasses, but I'd think that would be the case with most headsets. The wireless range is pretty good too, with the audio only breaking up at the very edge of it's stated range (15m).The mic has an excellent pick up range for voice audio, making VOIP communication clear and easy, whislt eliminating almost all background noise. The only downside, which may either be a small design flaw, or a defect with the headset I received, has to do with the mic. It uses a "Rotate-To-Mute" action to kill mic input. On my unit, the rotation mechanism is a little loose, and as such, does not stay upright when my head is lowered. Once the mic arm passes about the 40 degree mark, the mic becomes open again. As small gripe I know, and it really is the only one I have.On the whole, I'd recommend this headset above the others in it's price range.

Best value for money wireless headset with solid build quality and very user friendly. Good sound for gaming, music and films.
There are some mixed reviews on this product. I have been using now for a full week and obviously I won't know how the lifetime quality is until I've used for a year.In any case, I think some reviews are a bit harsh on this headset. It is perhaps one of the cheapest proper wireless gaming/music/film headsets on the market. It is extremely lightweight (for a wireless headset) and it is also very comfortable due to the soft padding on ears and over the head. The sound quality is outstanding, this is so far the best quality open ear headset I have ever used that has a built in mic. You can probably find better sound quality wireless headsets if you are willing to spend more and go for a noise cancelling ear cups. Do bear in mind the padding on this headset and the design means that it does offer some degree of noise cancelling. My old headset was a Logitech G330 and this has better sound quality and a far better microphone (at least that is what my friends have said even when I did not tell them I got a new headset, they asked if I changed mic or some setting in my system as voice quality was better). You can use this for a full 8 hours before it goes empty. I have yet to time it though but have gone 6 without charging and it was fine.As for negatives, I think the biggest issue with this headset is that it doesn't seem to have a driver by Asus, meaning unlike on other brands you can't customise some settings. Such as the automatic sleep. This goes to sleep quite quickly if you don't listen to sound for a while. It would be handy if you could change that setting.

Top quality, very impressed.
Very happy, I went for the reconditioned set (with a small scratch) for £28 rather than pay £65 for a new set and I could not be happier, the set I received was in the original box, well packaged, with all leads and booklets. The headphones are new, I cannot find any scratches on them and they even had the original plastic covering on the earpieces still. They charged and worked perfectly with windows 10 first time, they have a decent mic on them that only activates when you pull it down and also lights up at the end when on. The volume up and down is very useful positioned right on the earpiece and works nicely, it doesn't jump up levels etc, it's smooth up and down volume. The quality of the sound is awesome and they are comfortable to wear, light and they work even when I walk out of the house and up the garden!!! Could not be happier.

Some crippling problems with this headset after a while
Edit: I'm leaving my original review (which was 4 stars) below, see further down for the reason I'm dropping it down to three stars (debated two but I think it still functions so perhaps 2 is too harsh)I bought these to replace a set of Asus HS-1000W which finally gave up the ghost after 4 years of heavy use. I've been using these for a couple of months now and they are better in some ways but slightly worse in others, hence the 4 star review.Let's start with the good:- The headphones are light and comfortable to wear for extended periods of time, even with glasses (which is a major issue with other headsets I've used).- The sound quality is on par with most other mid-budget headphones I've used, great for casual listening and online conversations but that's about it, which fully met my expectations of a mid-range wireless headset.- The microphone is good quality, with a red light at the end that tells you if it's on or not. Initially I thought this was just a gimmick but I've come to rely on it when checking if I'm on mute or not.- The battery lasts a good while, at least while it's newNow for the not-so-good:- The headphones have an automatic shut-off feature that switches them off if no sound plays for some time. This would've been very useful and welcome, but unfortunately the interval is so short that it's not impossible to have them cut out during a conversation! Maybe there is a setting for this but so far I haven't been able to find it- Although the headphones are very comfortable to wear, they are also very easy to drop if you move your head around suddenly or need to look in a drawer. I think the main reason is that there is no foam on the earpads, but I'm willing to be a bit more careful when moving around in exchange for not getting sweaty ears (yuck)- As I mentioned before, the battery lasts a good while but I've still managed to run it down from a full charge in a single session (many hours spent in front of the PC listening to music and working). This would not normally be a problem, since it's easy enough to work while charging them, but the fact that the headset will NOT switch on while charging, coupled with the short auto shut-off to preserve the battery, means it's very inconvenient to use the headphones while they are being charged.Overall I'm happy with this headset and, for the price, I don't think there's a better one out there. My previous set from Asus lasted 4 years of heavy use so I'm hoping for similar here, although this set looks to be even more robust (fingers crossed). I do have to take a star away for the minor inconveniences though, they are just too hard to ignore.[end original review]After a few months of use, I've noticed a very annoying issue with these headphones: Whenever the automatic shut-off occurs, the headphones will lose sync with the USB fob which requires the fob to be removed and re-inserted before they will sync again. This means that it's basically impossible to use this in a port behind your machine where it cannot be removed and quickly re-inserted. This almost makes the headset unusable, but most PCs nowadays have one or two front ports so this can be tolerated.
