Hammer Stahl 9x13 Inch Baking Pan with Cover - Heavy Gauge 18/10 Stainless Steel - Great for Roasting, Cakes and More

I love this pan! My mother had one when I was a kid and in fact bought me one when I left home which served me well for years!! I sent leftovers home with someone and it was never returned....I am so tired of plain aluminum and steel pans which become stained and rusted. This pan cleans up easily and shines like new. Nice to be able to stack 2 pans. I like these so much I bought two more for myself.

This pan is steel so it's easy to clean, durable, ready for oven. The lid makes it easy to take baked items on the go. My favorite use is for cornbread dressing and cakes. Not much for the work it takes to make layer cakes anymore. A cake in this pan makes it easy for family to cut a piece and then cover it back up.

I have only used the pan once so far but I really like it. It is thick, not heavy, bakes well, cleans easily and has a cover, which is a bonus.

My mom had a pan like this when my brother and I were growing up and we had a running family joke about it being our family heirloom. Well, the original was lost in one of her many household moves so I found this replacement for my brother as a Christmas gift. Unfortunately, the quality is not the same as it was when we were kids. The metal seems particularly thin and it feels like it could warp over time. I'm sure he'll get a few good uses out of it, but I don't think it's going to hold up to the test of time.

I was surprised at the great quality of this pan. It was a gift and the receiver was very happy with it. Well packed, nice smooth surface, the lid slides cleanly.

Looking specifically for 100% stainless steel, made in America. I recently purchased 100% stainless steel baking items labeled as Hammer Stahl (HS). I visited the HS site prior to purchase on Amazon. Their website says "Made in USA" and "American craftsmanship". Boy, I was excited! High quality American made. Imagine my surprise when the items I received have stickers that read "Made in India". The 2 round cake pans I ordered are stamped as "Hammer Stahl" with "Made in India" under the name. The remaining items I purchased don't include the Hammer Stahl name (why not???), but simply have a white sticker that reads "Made in India". I thought I had been bait and switched -- a 3rd party using the HS name. I wrote HS to ensure their name wasn't being used by a 3rd party. The company did not care at all about my concern. Stating "the product details indicate made in India". These pans are expensive. I am very disappointed and will not recommend this company to my fellow bakers.

I just received this pan. The pan itself is beautiful and looks to be well made. BUT, the lid, once closed, does not sit on the pan on one end, there is a substantial gap.....so plenty of air could enter. My mom had a similar pan with a lid that fit tightly and I was hoping this would be that pan. I would pay this high price for a pan that was as functional as hers. This pan is going back. I hope they will adjust their design and make a lid that fits more securely.

Way too expensive and low quality stainless steel. Even scratches when rubbed with normal dish washing scratch pad. Good stainless steel won't. Very thin and can easily bend when drop. Only reason I keep it because I can't find other pan with the right size with lid!
