Purchased for works secret Santa. I did a lot of research on this for an avid D&D fan. I know very little of D&D so was rather nervous but he and fellow enthusiasts thought it was really exciting :) great gift

The model looks great and is well made, although this one is slightly harder to return to it's dice form.Just need to be patient with it, and remember how you got it out of the dice form in the first place, and all's well.

When I first laid on this item I was a little excited to get a hold of it as it is different from the items I have in my collection. The product arrived quite promptly and nicely packaged and unravelling the product once taken out filled me a bit of joy. Happy to have in in my collection and would recommend for something unique.

Great little toy but the wings are fragile and now one is broken. But it looks great and the kids still plays with it... broken wing adds to the story.

Pre-ordered this from Hasbro, rather than getting it from Amazon. Sorry about the unreliability, but I'll do my best to provide an accurate review because I liked it.Pros:-Despite being a folding toy, the detail on the dragon is good, and true to the classic Black Dragon of DnD, in a way that no other poseable figures I'm aware of are.-Seems relatively durable. A destructive child could certainly break it in a fit of pique and it wouldn't handle being stepped on, but I think that it should be able to survive being dropped on a hard floor or down a flight of stairs, and looks like it would take plenty of folding before the joints would wear out.-Comes with an instruction manual to demonstrate proper folding.-Dragon! :)Cons:-Folding it back up into a dice is reasonably difficult, especially without the manual.-The underside of the horns isn't painted.-When folded into a dice, the dice is balanced well enough to roll, but it's not balanced perfectly, so using it in actual DnD would likely be banned, unless your Game Master thinks the dice is cool enough to make an exception. Which, to be fair: Might actually happen.Of note:-This black dragon, while a good replica of a classic DnD black dragon, isn't actually a replica of Rakor; just a 'classic' black dragon. This isn't a serious problem, if anything, most fans are going to PREFER this, because most people like to make their own stories within DnD. But if you child really likes Rakor from the movie specifically, then it's not a perfect match. (Much more noticeable on the Themberchaud figurine, seeing as Themberchaud is characterized as being a real lump of a dragon, while the 'classic red' of his figurine is proportioned normally)Anyways. I'm pretty darn satisfied, just a natural critic. Hope they make these for the other colours of dragon!

Purchased as a gift. As a novelty it was enjoyed by the recipient at first look but got disapointing the more interacted with.The item looks similar to the picture of the owlbear when fully completed but the photo must have been at a very flattering angle because in person it does not look like something I would display. It's not that sturdy and may easily have bits falling off if moved once constructed - in this case the foot kept falling off.When converting it back into 'die' form it is pretty tricky and the die cannot be rolled without panels falling off either.I did apreciate that care was taken in the packaging and that clear, easily understandable, instructions were given with the produt.However, all in all, it was fairly disapointing and I would not reccomend it.
