The case is like new, in its original box with the charging cable. There are minor scuff marks on the bottom.

So. Not. Worth. It.
So I went ahead and bought this item used - acceptable. Wanted to check it out, because it looked pretty good. I don't really mind if it's heavy, or if it makes the ipad look like a full-blown laptop, infact that's what I wanted it for. However... when I got it just now, the description of the product and the product itself didn't match up. They said there were "some" scratches -- not really... the entire top cover was pretty much scratched up. Some scratches were deeply embedded too. But on the inside, it looked okay - so I tried it out.Keyboard: Awful. Keys all stuck. Spacebar was like... not working period. It was he most stuck of all, and the efficiency just didn't work out for me. I really liked the layout of the keys and all of that - but it just... it just didn't work. I am so mad, I am definitely returning this back to the UPS drop off tomorrow. Such a waste of money.I'm currently using the ZAGGprofolio - light up version, and it works like a charm even though the outside leather is such a mess. The keyboard is amazing though (typing my review with it right now). I'm so mad, I probably won't look at clamcase ever again unless this keyboard messes up on me, and then I might consider the ClamCase Pro -- because the idea that clamcase is doing, is what I'd prefer... the execution could just.. really use improvement. Also, unfortunately, the product is so expensive!

Not good enough...
Below is what I thought about the product when I first received it - about 90 days ago.07-26-12: The packaging was correct, it was received on time, and the device works as advertised. All the concerns I have read about the new iPad not being able to fit (fits just fine), the blue tooth not staying on (it will time-out if stop using it for a couple of minutes like most blue tooth items), or space bar issues - they are all petty complaints. Keep in mind, this is not a laptop. This is a keyboard case/substitute for the virtual keyboard that does the job. The keys should be a bit smaller to create the "Chick let" style keyboard, but the case design and its capabilities are enough to overcome its minimal shortcomings. So it's good enough for me.10-26-12: Today, I am returning the item. If all I wanted was a case, this would be great - a glorified one at that. But since the keyboard no longer holds a charge/works, I am returning, and changing my rating from four stars, to two. This is one short coming that can not be overlooked. A product that no longer works as advertised (only 90 days in), is not good enough for me.

very cheap build, loud keyaboard, spacebar unusable
I'm amending my review after a week of use. My original review can be found below the lineThe spacebar feels a little better after a week of use (it's no longer as stiff and unpresseable). I'm still unhappy with the overall bulkiness of the case but I feel like the ipad is protected pretty well and the battery life on the keyboard seems to be pretty good.Overall I feellike it's decent now, however it still feels like this thing should be worth $50 at most (ipad tax, I guess?)___________________________________________________I've read reviews before I bought this thing that mentioned the terrible spacebar, but I chose to ignore them thinking I would figure out a way to deal with it. Now that I'm using it I see what people meant. Most of the key are ok, however the spacebar is stiff, spongy and recessed compared to other keys. The product pictures make it look as though this case is of the same quality as a macbook (you have to admit, they are pushing that look in every picture) however it's anything but. It looks/feels like cheap tupperware: the seam gaps are uneven, nothing mates right. The case is also absurdly heavy and bulky by ipad standards. It easily doubles the weight and tripples the size of the ipad. The only redeeming thingis it's abitly to hold the ipad at any angle, however $150 is steep price for such convinience.I hope this review helps someone.

Great idea, product sucks
The design of this is perfect, the case is very protective and it turn the ipad into a mini laptop or you can flip the keyboard and it stands up perfect for watching movies or playing games, flip it a little more and its just a regular tablet/ipad. It is also easy to take in and out of the case if you want to get rid of the extra weight. However, It sucks if you want to actually use it as a laptop and type on the keyboard! The bottom two rows of keys will very often not work. Its like they are too far away for the bluetooth to pick up (even though its pretty close) All the other keys will work just fine, but about 60% of the time that I press a key on the bottom two rows it will not work, i will have to push it several times and sometimes close the case half way before it will pick it up. I otherwise love the case so I have just been dealing with it, but it is very inconvenient!

Nice concept, mediocre keys
I have had 4 of these, having returned 2 of them. The first two had keyboard problems with sticking keys, slow response times, inability to type fast on it w/o confusing it and with an unstable hinge. I returned one and got another that worked moderately well for a while. I eventually gave it away and it failed within a year like the first. I got the second generation whose hinge problem was much improved but this product, too, has the same recurring issues with an unstable keyboard. I had to return and replace it, too. I still have it but have gone back to Zagg. The Zagg iPad slot is not as stable as the ClamCase hinge but the keyboard seems to have faster response times, longer battery life, and the keys are backlit for darker places.
