Solid portable induction hob
I have a Tokit Omni Cook which I love so added this induction hob to my collection. Like the Omni Cook, this induction hob feels very well made and made to last. It’s pretty thin and sits solidly on a kitchen work surface. The heated area takes up most of the surface and there is a nice bevel control. You connect the hob to WiFi and a phone app which gives you access to many hob “recipes” - the exact time and temperature to cook a whole host of things. The induction is fast and water boils in a suitable pan in a matter of seconds. It’s great for keeping a dinner party made from the Omni Cook warm while you use the Omni Cook to make another dish.Tokit is my new favourite brand

2 year review
I use it most days, it's been great. Today I left it on its side and switched it off . I started to smell burning and realised it was the Tokit, I am convinced it's something to do with being on its side despite being off! This could be dangerous

Extremely capable induction hob
The media could not be loaded. Item arrived very well packaged and with a clear instruction book. Very thin and light appliance with a small footprint on the worktop. Feels well made.Easy to use and simple controls especially to raise and lower temperature.Connects to WiFi and has an app with presets that can be used for different types of cooking.Heats pans and contents really quickly and temperature control works fast too.Cooked a stir fry in a large wok pan with no issuesOverall impressed with this item!

lcd screen faded after 2 months use, edited review to 1 star as not happy!
The hob itself seems really nice, well made and I would be happy with it except for the fact that my specific circumstances mean I have limited wattage available and despite the advert saying this would be fine it is not.I am running this hob on an inverter and despite the advert listing the varying power levels and the associated wattages these are not at all true!Any setting below 50 will pulse the high wattage (2000w+) rather than maintaining a constant wattage, my inverter is rated for 1600w and any setting below 50 causes it to cut out because of excessive draw, once i get to setting 50 it seems to stabilise at around 1400w which my inverter can handle but it does mean i'm not able to use the hob for lower temperature cooking.I am mostly annoyed that the advert actually has a graph showing the relative wattages for each power level and this is a lie. If like me you are planning on running this hob on an inverter and making use of the portability beware, you will need a high wattage inverter 2500w-3000w to use this hob on any setting below 50.I am now faced with the choice of returning the hob or dropping a few hundred £££ on a higher wattage inverter (fyi they cost roughly £300) this was not a cheap item to buy so I am not pleased about the possible extra spend i'm going to have to make.**EDIT**Not even 2 months after purchasing and the LCD screen is breaking, it looks like it isn’t lighting up fully any more the numbers and letters look faded towards the edges. Lowered my review to 1 star as there’s simply too much wrong with this job considering the premium price. Unfortunately I am now out of the return window so will just have to live and learn.**EDIT AGAIN**I got a replacement through warranty but now this one is having issues with the cheap flimsy little twist/press controls, this product is infuriating DO NOT BUY IT! I know it’s the slimmest one on the market that I’ve found but honestly for the hassle of this button just get one a couple of mm bigger with better controls that don’t constantly break.Ultimately the design is extremely flawed, I suspect while cooking spillages have worked their way under the button/dial so neither work as they should any more, honestly AVOID THIS COOKER!

Not so great induction hob
Easy to use and connects to my phone, so I can control the programmes, timer and temperature range. Having 99 temperature settings makes for a smoother cooking experience instead of stop/start. The drawback was it dosent have the same firepower on the highest setting and it seemed to fail miserably at this task and seemed to loose its ability mote the longer i used it. So after using it, I felt performance was inadequate! Maybe it developed a fault.

Really good little hob cooker!
This is such a useful little gadget to have. I love how light and portable it is and would be so convenient for going travelling or to stay somewhere that doesn’t have somewhere you can cook your own food.I love the app that controls it and being able to set the exact temperature is brilliant. I like that you can set a timer for it to switch itself off as well or turn it off from your phone so I can go off and do other things without having to worry about forgetting that I’ve left something on to boil

Best fried egg ever!
I bought this portable hob to sear meat outdoors rather than smoke up my flat. I gave the app/hob a test-drive by selecting "fried egg" from the app. The hob chose what it thought is the best temperature to fry an egg and then ten minutes later I had a perfect - and I really do mean perfect - sunny-side up egg. Looking forward to trying other "recipes" on this thing!
