Fast results for 2.5 year old
Worked great for my 2.5 year old. I know there's very mixed reviews on this book but it worked well for us and I think that's down to my daughter being 100% ready, she's very stubborn and independent personality and I'm very much an all or nothing person myself which is exactly what this book is about! We dedicated a long weekend to it (also have a baby which made it harder) and one parent just had to give the potty training 100% attention. Although will admit we did this during covid lockdown so that made it less tempting to try go out anywhere! The first day and a half there were a lot of accidents and I was ready to give up but suddenly she just got it and very few accidents since. There were days over the following few weeks where she regressed for a day or part of a day and when she started back at her childcare post covid lockdown there was a week or so of regression while she got used to using the toilet there. Also to say this method did not scare my daughter at all as I read in some comments, she was never upset at bring sat on the toilet and never once asked for her nappies back. Also love that we managed to train without a potty and she never had any issues with going straight to the big toilet!

Impressed!
Very impressed. I came across this “toilet/potty training in 3 days thing” in an article online and scoffed thinking how ridiculous it sounded. But when I read the other good reviews I decided to give it a go. And for us, it’s working. My daughter (1st time mum) just turned two and yesterday was day 1 - she did 4 small wees on the floor yesterday morning, each time I took her straight to the toilet. Wee number 5 came at lunch and sure enough it was in the toilet. And since then, no more accidents. She’s since done 8 wees (excluding naps/nights) and all 8 were successfully done in the loo (yes, I am keeping note...). Today (day 2) she’s been telling us she needs to go and sure enough, we’ve sat her on the loo and she’s been weeing. Zero accidents since yesterday. She’s understanding she shouldn’t be weeing on the floor and is asking for the toilet and wants to sit on it. Each time she’s getting more and more confident and taking less and less time wee. Been using the pull ups for naps and nights of course. But we’re calling them sleeping pants as we’ve told her no more nappies. We’ve been following the book fairly closely and it really works. We’re really impressed how quickly our daughter has picked up the peeing in toilet thing. In less than 3 days she’s gone from full nappies and zero interest in what goes on down there to now enjoying using the toilet. I thought it would take weeks or months to get her interested. We’ve gone straight to toilet and skipped using the potty as it seemed to make more sense for us. I would say though you need to remain super calm and positive, get excited for their achievements and encourage what they are doing well instead of what they aren’t doing. I find it more tiring rather than stressful as you do need to have full focus on them and nothing else. Quick background on our daughter - she’s strong minded, curious, confident, developing very normally for her age and assertive.Giving it four stars instead of 5 as the book does encourage sweet treats as rewards and juices/low cal cordials (some with sugar, others without) to encourage bladder flow so that’s not the most healthy option but worth it in my eyes if your LO is out of nappies quickly, it’s just for a couple of days after all. Fully aware there’s going to be accidents ahead whilst we’re out and about and she hasn’t tried pooing yet so we’re not out of the woods but the whole family is feeling happy and confident about toilet training now and it doesn’t feel daunting like it did before we started. Follow the book, be consistent, happy, calm and positive and you’ve got this!

Excellent for prep, structure and quick to read
With the warning that pants mean trousers in this book, we are so pleased we bought this book. We successfully trained our 3 year old son in 3 days. Subsequent accidents in next week 3, 2 of these were on day 4 and the third on day 5. We fully anticipate a regression at some point but looking good so far. The preparation advice is really good and our nappy disposal story was very handy in the first few days, so definitely take time to do this, it’s worth it. The only thing I’d say isn’t spelt out is the need for parent(s) to lead at a toilet time. He’s only just started to tell us / take himself to the toilet and needed clear direction and interpretation of his toilet clues during training time. This approach really worked for us, not saying it will work for everyone but I’m really grateful this book is out there. Many thanks from 2 time poor working parents (and a very impressed nursery)!

A bit intense
It's a bit too full on for me but all the same lots of tips for potty training, very easy to read. I have used the tips but over a longer time which is working OK for us

My 2 year old boy was potty trained in 3 days!
I love this book. It worked for us. I was so proud of my 2 year old boy when on 3rd day he went himself to the toilet and stayed dried for a whole day. We obviously had few accidents since then but he gets really upset if he doesn't keep his pants dry. He is really trying his best. Nursery staff was quite surprised how well potty trained he is. He was the only one in his room. He can use both toilet and potty. Granny was very proud too.To compare (which I shouldn't) to his friend (girl) same age. Her mum didn't use the book and she got potty trained just before 3rd birthday. Her daughter started sitting on a potty on her own so they do get it at some point.Back to the book. I found it pretty drastic and exhausting first day. We had so many accidents. He weed every 10 mins and I had to get some help from my hubby too. Some people might get offended by authors direct stricked approach so don't read it if you're are too soft and too positive with your kids or you don't give them any treats. I didn't mind. I prefered this old fashioned method so it's done and done properly. Thank you for this book!
