Brilliant device
Son is 4 (ASD) and has escaped most harnesses! This is perfect, easy to use, very secure as after closing there is another lock to secure, so he is unable to open ! Game changer!

For the tiny escape artists
This is so so simple to use ! - no threading needed just clip each side onto the car seat straps then clip in the middle. It comes with a little character for the middle which i choose not to use as this would encourage my child to fiddle with the belt. People will say these are unsafe to use however what is more unsafe is my child taking her arms out of her straps and shuffling her body out of her seat mid journey. Once the straps was put on she had a major meltdown but soon calmed down and I was rest assured that she wouldny come flying through the windscreen. The clip itself is easier to open than the normal car seat clip so i really cant understand the worry, you could even keep scissors in the car if you were that worried. Would def buy this again, cheap but very well made and could save a life and your sanity !.

Quite a good chest harness, child likely to figure it out quite quickly
This chest clip is quite good, it has deterred my child from trying to get his arms out of the car seat straps. It's not particularly difficult to just unclip, and even easier to just remove one of the sides from the strap, so I would say he'll probably figure it out quite quickly if he feels inclined to do so. The monkey doesn't really help much, but has become a good distraction for my son.Update: It only took a few weeks and he figured out a way around it. On our first longer journey my son wanted some freedom. He pushed the clip down (it slides easily up and down the seat straps unfortunately). He pushed it down to the child seat buckle, and could then get his arms out above it as he has previously done. Not ideal when travelling on a motorway

Life saver
My little one discovered the fun of escaping from his car seat, which has been really stressful. I was prepared to purchase an entire new car seat to solve the problem, however, while browsing I found this little device and thought I might try it for the price. Trust me it has proven really useful. Not only he can no longer escape, but also, as he can’t undo hi arms he is more relaxed in the car in general (he’s given up the poor lad). It’s very easy to set up and it doesn’t add complexity to fasten / unfasten the kids’ seat belts.

Okay
Item works. The monkey bit isn’t essential, it doesn’t fit properly and falls off. He can take it off easily. It’s just not secure, so pointless.

This product is one of the best things I’ve purchased as a parent. When our toddler was younger, he used to sit, chill and even sleep in his car seat. Now the second I strap him in, he does an impression of Houdini and spends the entire journey trying to escape. He was successfully slipping the straps of his car seat within minutes of us setting off which was so dangerous and causing me a nightmare every journey because I’d have to stop several times to strap him back in - kicking and screaming like a Tasmanian devil. I tried everything, tightening them, adjusting the recline on the seat to make it more comfortable. I even spoke to the seat manufacturer because I was convinced our seat was faulty, but there was nothing wrong with it. I ordered this product, convinced Houdini would find a way out of it too, but after the first use he’s never been able to slip his straps again. And after a week? He doesn’t even try anymore, which is a huge relief for me and a much safer drive for everyone! The product is really easy to use and the cute character for the little one to play with is a nice addition. Have already recommended to several of my friends who are parents!
