I bought these to extend some 6AWG wire for a stove where some "electrician" had installed the outlet in the entirely wrong place (too high up on the wall). After looking for all good options I found myself looking at "Polaris" connectors, however the local electrical supply wouldn't sell them to me. Thankfully I found these.I removed one star because a flat head screw is the worst possible option, why not square or hex like most other electrical items for this wire gauge? Thankfully was able to find a way to get a torque wrench onto a screw bit, but it was a complete pain and made it harder than it should be.

These are hard to fit in small boxes but they are rock solid connections when you can use them. Joining AL and CU is easy.

I mistakenly ordered this thinking it was for large-gauge home wiring (like the 8AWG and higher typically used for large kitchen appliances and dryers). But it's HUGE...clearly meant for service wires.I obviously can't use it, but I'm familiar enough with these types of connectors to say that it appears to be good quality. There are good-sized globs of dielectric grease inside, and the insulation seems snug and intact. Looks like a good product...for the right use. (To be clear, it is definitely too large for any of the wiring inside your home.)

I have several of the connectors from OhLectric now and I am impressed by them.I've been doing some additions in my ac power service panels and these connectors make everything look neat and tidy.Super easy to use and a real time saver. They even have some dielectric grease already in them.The (Amazon) OhLectric Store has a great selection of different connectors built like this and I plan on getting a few more different ones. I have a few things that need to be done in my RV and these will be perfect for that. These combined with marine grade shrink tube, make for some very weather proof connections.If you do any electrical work involving large gauge wire - these are for you.
