Zumba Fitness Gold Live It Up DVD Set for the Baby Boomer Generation

I FOUND THIS VERY BORING NOT ENOUGH EXERCISE AND FAR TOO MUCH CHAT.

I decided it was time to give a senior workout a try. I am a dancer, who had to take a long break due to injuries and a foot surgery. At age 59 my body definitely has changed. Diminished knee cartilage and frozen shoulder make it tough to do floor work so I definitely needed a standing toning workout. My knees no longer allow my "go to" step aerobics. I knew I needed a workout to keep my body strong as I age so I decided to give Zumba Gold a try. The dvd set comes with a disk to teach you the steps used on the other dvds. The workout is low impact with easy to learn combinations, which is great because I want to spend the time working out and not stressing over a complex choreography. Overall, the dvds offer a great workout. I have been rotating the Cardio and the Toning dvds for four months. After the first month, I found I needed to order heavier toning sticks, but that was an easy upgrade. My fitness level and measurements have changed for the better. I feel like me again and it feels so good to be moving again. I highly recommend the set to anyone who wants a fun fitness workout. There are some terrific balance challenges on both sets. Give it a try!

I'm middle aged with knee and hip injuries. I have become out of shape from limited mobility. I love ZUMBA Gold because I don't have to get up and down off the floor, the exercises are a blast, they are doable and you get to learn all kinds of groovy dance moves. ZUMBA Gold makes me feel young again. The music is good too. I highly recommend it.

I am a 65 year old female and new to Zumba. This is an easy introduction with 3 different cd's. One shows the actual steps to salsa, merengue, etc. This shows you how to do them, some of their variations, and a quick run through to some music. This is a purely instructional cd. Ignore Joy, pay attention to Beto. I'm not sure why she's there.The next cd is the Cardio. This will start you out with a warm up routine and then into some dance routines using the above steps you learned. Ignore Joy and watch Beto. I always do the cardio and then decide how much dance I want to do. I might do this 2 or 3 times a day.And the 3rd cd is the toning cd that includes using the very lightweight toning sticks. They sound a bit like maracas. You don't have to use these, just do the workout routine without them.Remember, this is for those of us who prefer a slower pace, but it still gets the heart rate up and counts as exercise. Don't complain if you were expecting wild and crazy; this is not that.

Instead of going out for Zumba, I thought that I would try it at home. This is just the best work out when you want a low intensity, yet peppy movement. I'm truly a Zumba fan for keeping my movement and flexibility -- but found that it was tough to take the time to go somewhere at a set time -- with this I pop in the DVD anytime I want. Zumba Gold is exactly what I need!
