It's a good game.
The game dice dice baby is a simple game to play. You can play with upto 4 people because there are 4 sets of dice and 4 dice cups included in the box, The dice and the dice cups do seem good quality although i do find it hard to see the numbers on dice some times, there is no number 6 on the dice instead its replaced with a baby's face. To win the game you have to be the only player to still have dice left. Me and my 3 kids have played the game and it's quite hard to figure out who's bluffing and who's not once you get into the game. For such a simple game it was fun, we enjoyed playing it.

Liars dice with a twist.
Let's call this game what it is. It's liars dice with a wild card. The final side on the dice is a weird picture of a baby instead of a 6 and this can be any dice face you choose it to be which is a fun little twist on this game (not sure why they chose it to be a babies face though, prehaps they came up with the name "Dice Dice Baby" before they came up with the aesthetics of the game). The game is for up to 4 players and comes with 4 cups and 20 dice (5 dice per player). The cups are plastic so aren't any risk if you are playing on a glass table and the dice are fairly standard dimensions. The box it came in was slightly damaged and I don't mean the delivery box. The delivery box was undamaged thus suggesting that the box the game comes in was damaged prior to being shipped out. The box isn't part of the game so this doesn't really bother me that much but if you have shelves displaying all your games then this isn't going to look great. I dare say not every box will be shipped damaged of course. This is a fun little game and a decent product but if you already have the ability to play liars dice then I wouldn't necessarily go out of your way to buy this.

Not worth the money and boring
There is a game played called Liar's dice. All you need is some 6 sided dice ( 5 per player ) to play this game. Other reviews here have already explained the very simple rules or you could quickly and easily look them up online so I won't repeat them in my own review here. You could buy some dice here on Amazon. A quick search reveals a pack of 30 for just £5 and that's assuming you don't already own some 6 sides dice - which many do. So if you are going to buy this then you would expect some extras to make it worth the almost £18 asking price! Maybe a nice travel case or bag? A playing mat? But there are no extras here. All you get are the dice ( with a baby on the sixth face ) and a plastic beaker. This is really very poor value for money! Just buy some cheap dice.My other issue, and I realise this is purely subjective personal feelings but the game is really boring. I had no fun playing this. After playing 2 games I already never wanted to play it again. I can't recommend this game at all.

Not great
I ordered this as it looked like a fun version of the game perudo which they have up at our local pub and I've also played it many an evening on snowboarding holidays. This is a similar concept but overpriced for what you get and what you do get (some cups, dice and instructions) is not very well put together. The dice are difficult to read. The markings are just recessed into the plastic with no alternate colouring so you're looking at dots in a swirly plastic block, given we tend to play this at the pub or on an evening in front of the fire it becomes really difficult....particularly given the whole point of the game is to keep your cup over the dice and have a discreet glance to see what you've got. It becomes an exercise in everyone peering down at the table (our kids as well so it's not an eyesight thing). The instructions are confusing too. They seem to have the rules the opposite way round to perudo whereby anything at or above the challenged number wins rather than it needing to be no more than the claim you've made (e.g. if you've said there will be 5 fours and there are 6 then in the classic rules you lose....in this it seems to suggest you win which makes the game a lot less fun).I can't tell if they've decided to switch the rules round to make it different or got it the wrong way round but either way it's not great and this game has quickly been shelved.

Fun game
Love the name, the packaging, the ease of explantation, the quality of the materials. It’s great to have a game that can be easily transported around to houses and on vacation. Playing the same old games can get tiresome but this game is unique, fun, and can be played for hours. This game is so much fun everything you need comes in one box 2-4 players ages 8+ have fun on game night.I enjoyed playing this game. It was nice to not need a lot of players to make the game work. The instructions are easy to understand and the game was a blast for my small family

Just can't see the point!
I honestly thought that this was going to be more complex than four dice pots and four sets of dice. I simply can't see the point of this. Either you would have to be blind drunk or just an idiot to find this at all appealing. Given the price of this, please don't bother to order this. There are so many more games, especially some of the older ones that will be far more fun, educational etc.

Fun liar's dice variant for the whole family
I received this game specifically to write a review. That said, I try to be honest and open in all my reviews.(Please see the enclosed pictures.)Summary: Dice Dice Baby is a dice game for 2-4 players, aged 8+, by Goliath Games and distributed by Pressman Toys. A game will typically last between 20-40 minutes. Each player has a uniquely set of metallic colored 5 dice. Everyone rolls all of their dice at once in their cup, looks at the dice underneath, keeping the die roll secret from the other players. Then, play proceeds much as the famous liar's dice. Starting with the lead player, each player will claim to have a certain amount and number on the dice. For example, the lead player might say, "Two twos."The next player in line can either challenge, "no way, baby," or claim a higher set, either the number is higher or the amount, or both are higher. Given the last player said, "two twos," then any of these are higher sets, "three twos," "two threes," or "five sixes."The dice's faces are the numbers one through five with a baby replacing the six side, and the babies are wild. They can be used as any number when playing.Eventually someone will challenge a result. The challenged player shows his or her roll. If the challenged player was bluffing and does not have the hand they claimed then then have to put one of their dice aside and plays the rest of the game minus that die.If the challenged player does have the hand they claimed then the challenger has to put one die aside. The last person with any dice left wins.On to the Dr Games’ Criteria …GO/NO GO Criterion• Complexity: (GO) It is not complex. If you have every played liar's dice then you know the basic rules.• Balanced: (GO) The game is completely balanced.• Chance (GO) It is a game of bluffing strategy and chance in just the right proportions.• Clarity: (GO) It is pretty clear. There was one thing that we had to clarify in play. This might be obvious, but if you claim to have a certain hand (and do not) and are called on it then even if you have a higher set, you still bluffed and lose a die.• Reasonable Time: (GO) The average game with four takes about 30 minutes, and that is about right for this game.Bonus Criteria• Social: The game is neither social nor anti-social.• Unique/Interesting Mechanics: The wild baby face on the die makes it easier to get higher scoring hands.• Informed: Not with this game.• Rewards Throughout: It all comes down to that final round. One small nit, the dice are fun colors, but the faces are a little hard to see. You might want to put some contrasting paint in the holes to make the dice easier to read.

I love Liar's Dice! But this set is a little disappointing.
This is a classic dice-bluffing game: each player rolls 5 dice and keeps them concealed, and then they place bids on what they think is on the table overall. Bids escalate until someone gets called on their bluff, and then the loser of the challenge loses a die. Repeat until you have a winner. The rules are straightforward - you basically just learned the game - and it's a quick, classic game to pick up. It's a lot more fun with four players than with two, because once one player is down to a smaller number of dice, it becomes more difficult to bluff...So why the lower rating? Well, this set feels like they cut quite a few corners. The four sets of dice are in very similar colors, so it can be tough to separate them out for each player. The dice pips aren't colored in, making them really challenging to see - I think maybe the intent here was to make them difficult to see if someone else is trying to steal a glance at your dice, but we found this feature to be largely a nuisance while playing, with everyone squinting at their dice. The cups are also not quite large enough - they're like, exactly big enough to hold five dice but no more, so more than half the time we rolled we ended up with a stack of dice we had to correct and reroll. Everyone eventually developed this awkward slidey motion to try to get them all to flatten out.The material the dice is made out of is nice enough, but everything else about the set feels pretty cheap. The dice just come in a disposable zippered bag. The cups are okay, I guess, but they're only a click up from disposable and aren't customized in any way for the game. There's no storage sack, so you're stuck using the box - but the box is constructed with a top flap rather than as a box that lifts up from the lid, so it feels cheap and will eventually start to fray with continued opening and closing. And the rules sheet is a single piece of curled paper. If I were making a set for this game, I'd have four different vibrantly colored sets of dice, a fun customized shaker of some kind that makes it easier to check your dice without revealing them, a nice storage box with slots for everything, and four laminated rule cards you could distribute out to each player as you play. Instead, I got 20 dice and four cups tossed in a box. We'll enjoy playing this game, and none of my complaints other than the difficult-to-see pips and awkward cup sizes directly affect gameplay. The price is also pretty affordable, so I have to take into consideration that they aren't charging a lot for the set, too. But I don't think this qualifies as 'giftable', and even at the current price point, we were a little disappointed by what we received.

Fun game; Terrible quality
I have played this game for years and was glad to see it available but we quite disappointed with the quality of this set. The cups are super small and the dice are terrible quality. Would be better off buying several sets of quality dice and using a Solo cup...

Dice ??
The game comes with 4 cups and 4 different colors of dice, 5 dice for each color. The game rules are right there in black and white and yet only one of the 5 of us could understand the game. It was my 8 year old that actually had to hand teach us. Once we got it we understood. However, none of us liked it. It was boring, hence the reason for the 2 star rating. You can use the game pieces to play other games if nothing else.
