The hay for my guinea pigs have been low on the fiber that used to be all inside the hay.My 3 guinea pigs love the fiber added to the hay they eat more hay.It is also a great treat that they love.

Happy pigs but so expensive
I’ve used Small Pet Select for many small pet items such as cages, food, toys, etc. They have always been a good brand that I can trust will keep our Guinea pigs safe and healthy. These Timothy hay flower tips are nice quality and come in a resealable pouch. The tips are our Guinea pigs favorite and they always eat those off first when we give them a handful of hay.The first photo is one of the small pet select tips. They are all pretty long and thick and make for great treats.The reason for the 2 stars off from me is because $8 for maybe 20 tips is very expensive. The 2nd photo I included is from a giant bale of Timothy hay that we buy from a farm store for $30-$40, and there are lots of pieces that have the flower tips on them. I can’t see myself continually buying the package of just the flower tips when the bales we purchase are a much better value and also have the flower tips.Maybe there are areas or places where they don’t include the flower tips and you would want to buy these as a special treat. They are good quality and if you are specifically looking for the Timothy hay flowers than these would be a good option although they are pricy.

Waste of money
Pretty sure my daughter's guinea pigs thinks this stuff is chemically produced. They love the Timothy hay stems, but this doesn't smell like hay and they won't even nibble on them. I gave them this AND the regular stems from an actual Timothy Hay bag and they devoured those. These stayed in tact and untouched. Nice try, but this isn't it.

I am a long time customer of Small Pet Select for my small animals. They love eating the Timothy flower tops but those were unavailable on SPS's website. I found them here and happily ordered but got a big disappointment. They were not green but yellow and white, meaning they were old and dry.
