Lots or colors!

Ordered because my son used what came with his pen in one day. Quality seems good and it is nice to have so many choices of colors. I cannot believe the stuff he has made with this.

My son has been asking for months for his own 3D pen, so I got him this set for his birthday to go with a pen I also got him. The mat is a great idea, I hadn't even thought about needing one until I happened upon this set. There's lots of filiment colors to choose from, but the pen eats up a lot also, so you definitely need more to make bigger/more complicated things. The only reason I took a star off was because of the booklet it came with. The ideas are odd, and really not something a 9 year old cares about. We looked in the book together when he first opened it, and he said to me "I don't really like any of these designs, let's just make one up ourselves." I did use an outline from part of one of the designs to help me build a test piece when he was practicing, and I was helping him, but for the most part the silicone mat helped more. It has ruler type lines along the top and sides of it already, and indents of various sizes to help you make most regular shaped things when you're first learning to use this (squares, straight lines, circles, etc). So I'd say the variety of colors of filament this comes with, and the silicone mat are worth it.

If you are wanting to get in to 3d printing this is a great thing to start

The gel mat is a great idea being see through so you can trace then flexible to remove the design, quit a bit of fillament in the kit too.

But haven’t been able to use and make anything with them due to a 3D pen not working . Would like a refund if pen can be replaced.my don is really disappointed as it was from Santa ! Thank you
