I live in an upstairs flat with no outside tap. Car washing has, until now, required a leaky rubber adaptor for the tap spout. Now I've bought a new tap with a built in strainer I can use this. That wasn't possible with the old, open, spout. Looks identical to the original strainer and connection should be quicker and much more secure. *Expensive, but probably worth it. *Add it to the cost of a new mixer tap, (non return valves)?, and all the other installation parts you're looking at over £100 in total. If you already have a modern tap, then this kit should be all you need. If attaching a hose to a mixer tap you should ensure non return valves are fitted below both tap feeds to prevent back-flow. This is probably even more important if using the hose on a pressure washer.One more thing; the plastic mesh inside this strainer is too fine for low pressure (indirect) hot water systems. I got 5L/min hot and 10 L/min cold. Both flow rates increased to an acceptable level (>10L/min) when the tap manufacturer's stainless steel strainer was substituted. With no strainer at all flow was >20L/ min but non directional and messy.

You know when you buy some device/gadget/easy fix solution and it looks great and when it arrives it's just useless? Well this is the opposite. Instant easy solution to a problem with my new rented house; no outside tap. Comes will all the bits and various size fittings, fixed it on the kitchen mixer tap in less than a minute. No leaks. Attached a Hozelock hose and water in the garden! Not cheap, but total quality manufacture and looks like it'll last forever! Total recommendation.

Works like a dream. Only reason it's 4 stars is it leaks a bit when I turn the tap on and my tap fitting seems to come loose where it attaches to the pipe under the sink. But for hose pipes it's great as I have newer type taps and nothing ever worked. I now don't need to cart 7 watering cans to my back garden just to water it

I have now had this tap adapter for 2 years - connecting a 20m garden hose to our 1st floor bathroom tap. We leave it permanently on the tap - still looks great, works brilliantly, and has never leaked (unlike the hose I attach it to which has connectors that keep needing tightened). Realised I should write review when watering the garden again this year and feeling well chuffed about having found such a great solution to lacking an outdoor tap. Amazon's customer support could have been better at the time (they weren't able to relay messages about the aerator with the seller), however the seller themself had been extremely responsive and helpful. Thanks again for a great product!

I bought this product nearly 4 years ago and have left it on my kitchen tap and used every day. It’s caused no problem and was a good fix. The reason I’m writing this review now is because I ran into a problem removing it (I couldn’t!) so emailed the company on the off chance, not really expecting much help. However they’ve gone above and beyond, replying immediately (on a Sunday too) offering advice and even spare parts! Can’t rate the service anything other than 5 star plus ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Excellent product and company! Thank you

Good product which allows me to use my out door hose. Easy to fit and has not leaked on me yet

You do have to ensure the fitting to the tap is tight so that the seals provided are squeezed tight so preventing any fine water spray. The fitting that connects to the hose simply slides into the fitting that is now always attached to my tap and it works everytime with no leaks at all. This fitting solution is not cheap but you are paying for quality and certainty, that this will work everytime and should transfer to any new tap in the future hence I consider this a one off purchase because it should last a lifetime (I sincerely hope). Highly recommend just ignore the price because you will forget it quickly once you have this fitting and experience how reliable and easy it is.
