Good seller, but not that great an item
I mean it works fine, but didnt solve the fidelity problems i was having. if you want gamecube above 360p (i think), just play it through a wii for 480p. It is the cheapest option, don't waste money trying to "fix" the gamecube's fuzziness with cables. If you really, really, REALLY want a higher definition gamecube (not wii) and are made of money, buy an (increasingly rare, discontinued) gamecube DVI cable. they will set you back at least £50 tho. as i said, if all you want is less fuzzy gamecube games, buy a second hand wii.hope this helps someone. for the record the seller was great and all that, this cable just doesn't really solve the problem i was facing

the jump in quality is like night and day
After years of playing my consoles through composite video I played some on my late 2000s 42" LCD tv and thought enough is enough and decided to make attempts to improve the quality of my old classics and using this SCART cable definitely brought new life to my Gamecube. I'm not a hugely picky video nerd, the jump in quality is like night and day. The fuzzy mushy colours and lines of composite cannot even be in the same conversation as the crisp and clean images of SCART and this is on an LCD screen, not a CRT that these games were made for.My only complaint that prevents me from giving this 5 stars is really a warning that the cable is not fully advertised as a Sync-on-Composite cable. I'm not an expert on it but I'll try to explain, basically video needs something to tell it where pixels go and this is called sync. Cables use different methods to carry this signal, this cable does it over the redundant composite pin but it is not as good as sync on the luma pin or the confusingly similar sounding Composite Sync (CSYNC) which is sometimes referred to as Clean Sync to avoid confusion. Because these cables use the Sync-on-Composite method it can create noise in the form of a chequerboard pattern over certain blocks of colour.Again I'll say I'm not expert but I've seen the chequerboard effect on multiple games so either these cables use Sync-on-Composite or they have weak shielding in their thin cable casing. But for it's price and the general quality of image they are definitely a great product and worth the money to upgrade from the terrible nightmare that is composite video.

Not what I wanted, but better!
Works perfectly :) By a stroke of ironic luck, I thought this was a different cord completely. I regardless this is the right cord and it's perfect. Delivery was faster than expected!

Sharp, but has noise.
I'm sadly having bars of noise when using this cable. I'm running from my gamecube, through this cable, into an hdmi upscaler, to the TV. The image looks super!, except for 2 moving bars of noise that really ruin it.It isn't the upscaler, as using this with the standard cable (or my n64 with standard cable) does not lead to the noise. Although this deal have a lack of sharpness, as these are not scart by composite.

Very good.
A proper RGB cable for GameCube. Best way to get a good image from a UK PAL (non modified) GameCube.

5 Star
Works perfectly fine with my GameCube console, picture and sound. Was slightly worried but didn't really get put off by few other negative reviews where someone tried to use it on there N64 console and didn't work. It does clearly state it is for GameCube consoles. Time to enjoy some of my childhood games!!
