Safe. Well made. Fairly straightforward to use. But don't expect to have round carrots, or round anything, as the angle of the chute is sloping, only the first few cuts are actually round. The further down the carrot you get the more oval the slices get. It cuts easily and quickly, and I found it useful for slicing up cooking apples for in an apple pie, but I didn't care what shape they came out so that's fine. I would like to have been able to dice with this machine, so am inclined to wish I'd shopped around a bit more before buying it. For safety reasons I highly recommend it.

I have just tried to slice a potato and a carrot and I am amazed at the speed and efficiency. It was easy to put together and to clean afterwards. That was within 20 minutes of delivery! The mandoline protects the hands and fingers in use and with normal caution about not ever touching the blades while in use or cleaning it feels safe to use. It is sturdy and stable and at present the cut is perfect for slicing. I'll wait a day or so before trying all the cutting modes and time will tell how long the blades are this sharp. A very satisfied customer. 5 stars.

The information with this Mandolin cutter was it would cut thin to thick chips. Mine does not cut thick chips as described.They are only matchsticks on the thick setting. I have emailed the company and the rep in UK with no response from either. The machine is easy to operate and easy to clean,but does not cut thick chips.

A very good addition to any kitchen. Cuts slices, dices, and long cuts like chips and carrots. Saves time and is a great tool. The only downside is that it needs to be cleaned after use. But you have to clean anything you use with food, so thats mandatory.

If you're just cutting up a few things, you might as well just use a regular knife and save you lots of parts to wash up. However, if you're preparing root vegetables for a family, this is a great device, it produces even slices with little effort.

The kids can make their own vegetable/ potato chips, this is wonderful and easy to use, and if you clean it straight away it’s also easy to clean. Risk free chopping!
