Bigjigs Rail Wooden Transport Train Set - 125 Play Pieces

Lovely quality, just as good as Brio but without the price tag. Bought this for my daughters birthday so we’ve not had it out yet but I’ve had a good look at it all and it is just lovely. Very happy with it

Wanted to branch out from Brio, but regretted it instantly. Quality of track pieces is poor, with lots of tolerance variation.Not all track pieces smooth, so worried about splinters.Trains barely move reliably in the tracks, either coming out of the tracks or catching on the tracks when using ramps/bridges.Generally disappointing, more so considering I was trying to give another brand a chance and not go after Brio. Turns out Brio have earned their recognition.

The bridge support pieces are badly designed and result in lots of railway accidents. They were so close in the design though and if they had had a little more fore thought many many severe accidents could have been avoided.The tunnel piece was also a bit flimsy with a thinnish piece of rigid plastic screwed down in to an adapted piece of track. Certainly not something to survive through the years.Things like the trees also not designed with stability in mind. The airport control tower was also very loose and after construction.All in all not a bad product for the price . Compared with the Brio set which is double/triple the price.

This is huge train set with loads of bits to it: a lot of track, buildings, bridges, people, lots of trains, cars, even a boat, plane and helicopter. No end of fun for adults and children. It's all sturdy and well made and is compatible with Brio (and other similar train sets).If pressed to find criticisms, I would come up with the following, but these are more things it's worth knowing before you buy, rather than reasons not to:* Most of the buildings require some construction by an adult with a screwdriver. There are easy-to-follow instructions though - it's just you need to set aside up to 3/4 of an hour to do it.* There are so many bits and such a variety of different ones, it took us another half an hour to set up the entire track. That's great if your child is old enough to enjoy the construction process. Not so good if they're impatiently waiting to play with it.* It would be a challenge to come up with any other track layout that used all the pieces. In fact, I'm not sure how easy it would be to set it up in other shapes, even smaller ones. (Although we did do a simple round track without any difficulty.)On the whole a great buy that's much cheaper than branded alternatives without any reduction in quality.

It is a lovely product, our daughter can have some much fun with it building train tracks and pushing train along but most of all the company deserve great feedback. We order this train as a Christmas present in reasonable time but it went missing. I emailed the company just few days before Christmas after realising the gift won't reach us on time. They responded very quickly by sending replacement just in time for Christmas. Thank you very much BigJigs.

This is well worth the money, my daugters family, (Grand Kids and Partner) have not stopped playing with it.. I expect hours of fun. A 4 year old girl loves it too. I enjoyed putting it together as well. For younger children it might be best to build some of it up on a permanent basis to save a lot of hassle for yourself. This was a Christmas present and it was money well spent.

This is a great addition to our train set (well, my son's!) the whole family gets entertainment out of it though. Some of the train track pieces have broken (thin wood) with little or no firm playing. Some of the paint work has flaked off but all in all its a great track and lots of additions. You can never have enough track though!

1) Sur la gare (item BJ-142F):Mauvais placement des décalcomanies des petits massifs d'herbe qui se trouvent alors 1/3 en dehors et 2/3 en dedans de la gare.(devaient être totalement à l'extérieur)2) Sur le tunnel (item PI-PPI):L'une des 2 pièces jaunes collées au rail n'est pas alignée avec le rail ce qui rend le tunnel bancal et nuit au bon raccordement au circuit sur un côté.3) L'une des roues d'un wagon est partie toute seule et a dû être refixée.Dommage pour ce beau produit qui mériterait un peu plus de contrôle qualité.
