L8starBattery Powered Led Strip Lights 13ft, 2x6.5ft USB/Battery Operated RGB Color Changing LED Lights with Remote for TV Backlight, Bedroom, Camping and DIY Decoration

I bought these mainly to use with the batteries, as I don't have a great place to get power to them. Added 4 AA batteries and plugged them in and they just light up blue. The remote does nothing to change brightness or color. If I plug them into a USB outlet they light up and I can change colors and patterns and such. What's the point of including battery holders if they don't actually work?The strips themselves are pretty lower quality with relatively few LEDs per foot. I think the last one I used was about double the light density.UPDATE: after just 2 days of sporadic use the blue color is now not working at all.

Great value for the price. The lights are bright and the remote and app work well. The adhesion also sticks very well. Unfortunately, one of the battery packs was defective and needed to use a separate USB power source for the second strip of lights. I emailed the company about it but thus far no response : /

First of is not long whatsoever id say 2 rolls of three feet of this stuff, also you have to handle this stuff like a newborn baby if you get a tiny notch in the strip or if you even just plug it in too hard the whole thing goes kaput but as long as your careful and don't mind using up A LOT of AA batteries they should be good also the app is very bad you only get like 6 colors

I bought these to use in the van I travel in with my kids. Installation was easy (including trimming). The bluetooth app is really excellent. Being able to control the two strings at the same time is also great. The "white" mode isn't exactly white (blueish) but I'm fine with that. The only thing I wish was better was the battery life if you leave the power switch "on" but don't have the lights on. I hoped this "standby" mode would last for weeks, but it kills the AA batteries in 2-3 days. You just have to turn the switches on and off between trips (and off when you leave the van for, say, a day of skiing). Overall, I'm pleased with them.

These worked well when I first got them. However, I think they drain the batteries really fast and they lose brightness a lot when the batteries start to die. You would definitely have to replace the batteries often and I ended up not using them much.
