Amazing item! We have an old, stubborn pug who has been horrendous about getting his nails trimmed- he would always get so distressed and it was completely unmanageable. As he is less active his nails were getting long and curled and he wasn’t wearing them down like before. This was our last resort to try before sedation, which we wanted to avoid!I stood holding him with a good secure grip whilst another person carefully used the tool on each nail in turn. He was not only tolerant but at one point forgot that he was supposed to be unhappy and started wagging his tail. Absolutely unbelievable!Nails are all sorted, took 10 minutes and was so much better than I could have hoped! Best value for money ever! Very good and work well

I have two pugs who absolutely hate getting their nails trimmed. In the past, I’ve used traditional clippers and unfortunately, I’ve cut too close more than once—causing bleeding, yelping, and a whole lot of guilt on my part. Needless to say, nail trimming had become a dreaded task for all of us.Enter this nail grinder. It’s honestly been a game-changer. While my pugs still aren’t throwing a party when it’s time for a trim, they’re so much more tolerant of this tool compared to clippers. The grinder is gentle, much less scary for them, and I feel way more in control. No more second-guessing if I’m about to cut too short—just smooth, safe filing.I can already tell that with a few more uses, they’ll be completely used to it. The noise isn’t too loud, it feels solid in the hand, and the results are great. If you’ve got dogs who are skittish about nail trims or if you’ve had a few nail-cutting mishaps like me, I can’t recommend this enough. Absolutely worth it!

I've bought quite a few nail grinders but this is by far the best. It takes half the time of others I've used. Very impressive and my 4 dogs don't mind it.

This was a really good item initially. Worked really well on my rottweilers claws, until it ran out of charge, I charged it with the cable it came with and also tried an alternative one but the product itself wouldnt hold the charge rendering it useless, then because it exceeded the 30 day return there was no option to send it back or have it replaced, however after contacting Amazon themselves I have been issued with a refund on return of the product, so I would advice on checking that you can charge the product effectively before your 30 days are up. I may have just got a defective one which is sad as I stated it was really good apart from the charging issue.

I really can't give enough praise to this product. I have a rescue dog that will let me do anything to his feet until he sees the nail clippers, then all hell breaks loose. Screams, biting, pulling paws away from me. I brought this nail grinder as a last resort, or it was off to the vet to have the nails trimmed under anaesthetic. At first he wasn't sure but after I tried a couple of times he laid down and allowed me to trim all his nail. Not quite as much as I would like, but it's a brilliant first step. It's very quiet and easy to use. Don't have second thoughts if you have a dog nervous about have nails trimmed, get one of these.

I bought this after getting fed up with how weak my previous nail trimming device was, and how long it took to trim my dogs nails. It was taking too long and they would start getting fed up with sitting still. Also you needed to keep changing the sand paper (if that is what you call it). This, I hoped was more powerful with a permanent grinding element. I was very pleased on first use. Even though the grinder didn't sound as fast it seems to have more torque so the machine doesn't slow down as much when grinding. It does a little, hence the 4 rather than 5 stars. And it is not the most comfortably fit in your hand. But it looks well built. Definitely looks like they wanted it to appear as a tool rather than going for comfort. I also like the fact it is not corded and the battery lasted long enough for me to trim the nails of 2 dogs in one sitting.
