The beans in the bag have a smell like Folgers with notes of cardboard. The nose of the brewed coffee is slightly improved, sort of a burnt tree-bark. On the palate, very mild and delicate, floral on the exhale. All-in-all, actually quite drinkable, and an outstandingly low price! I am very happy to confirm the report of another reviewer: they were NOT dark roast. I prefer a medium roast, so when I read that review, I took a gamble. My only regret is not buying more when I had the chance; it was about half the price of the cheapest coffee at the supermarket. Sadly, I think the low price was to clear out the inventory, so they likely won't be in stock again.

Just tried your coffee in my new french press. I made an americano. For those of you who don't know what that is, it's coffee with unsweetened condensed milk. It was delicious. I really enjoy the aroma of the coffee as it's brewing. Then the flavor is perfect. You guys make great coffee.

The coffee had no taste. I expected a dark roast and it was not.

To me this was blank average coffee. But i do love the espresso roast from this company.

It may be my limited experience with the French roast, It was a little burnt tasting for me. But that is not to say it was not good coffee. Just not for me, everybody has different teste. I do have to say the customer service and follow up with this company was second to none. It arrived on time and they were reaching out to me before the delivery date just to make sure the process was going smooth; I am very very impressed with customer follow up and service. For that reason I will explore different options they may have for other coffee roast.
