best thing ever!
Was unsure when I got this soap. Yes it smell like something you would paint on wood! BUT that goes after the first couple of washes. After washing my entire body, even my hair in the soap, then after rising my skin actually 'squeaked' as it was THAT clean! Also when after drying everything, my skin was soooo soft and so was my hair! :-D Will use mine as a deep clean jobby once a week as it really does work well! Also, ideal it does everything when camping to save on space! Will buy again as got a list of people who want some!

Wonder soap for PUPPS
From 37 weeks onwards in my pregnancy I developed a nasty case of PUPPS, it was red and itchy and I was clawing at my skin until it bled and could barely sleep at night. I tried many remedies including calamine lotion, oatmeal and aqueous cream, none of which worked and just seemed to irritate my skin even more. I searched through the internet and read many good reviews of how this soap made their rash clear up really quickly and decided to give it a go. The soap itself smells like a campfire and pine trees (and it really smelled up my bathroom) but it really did work miracles. After only 4 days of using the soap twice a day, the rash completely cleared up and I no longer felt itchy! I keep using it everyday to keep the rash away. It really is a 'wonder soap' and I strongly recommend it to anyone suffering from PUPPS, just wish I heard about it sooner!

HEALTHY MAINTENANCE VALUE FOR THE EPIDERMIS
I do like it as it is devoid of all the synthetic grot that most soaps contain these days, including the ones producing a false fragrance to denote the illusion of cleanliness. This pine tar soap is not that different in what it does than the famous coal-tar soap that used to be on the market in it's original form ( that actual brand of soap no longer contains coal-tar these days ). Granpa's pine-tar soap gets the thumbs up from me as I can also use it as the first sequence in a shampooing regime where I lather it into my scalp, rinse, and then use a more conventional shampoo for the second wash of the sequence. I think it contains a lot of natural 'bacteria busting' goodness to maintain a healthy epidermis and I certainly feel cleaner after using it than I do with the usual soaps on the market. Some people have reservation about the aroma of this soap but I don't mind it at all as humans aren't supposed to smell like some sort of cheap potpourri. What this soap's fragrance actually tells me is that I AM clean. Cheap it is not but I don't use it every time I wash or shower, just when I need more thorough results. it gets 5 stars from me and I'll be stocking up on more of it too. Eamonn

Good for skin, hair and shaving
I have been using Pine Tar Soap in general for a while. I also use another brand, made in Britain, which has usually worked out slightly cheaper than "Grandpa's". Both are very similar. My skin is quite sensitive and sometimes, depending on weather and work, can occasionally suffer the odd bout of things like eczema, infections, etc. This soap feels lovely on the skin. It cleans well enough to prevent and greasiness, spots and infections, but doesn't dry my skin. It is also mild enough to wash my hair in. For this use, I find the Grandpa's brand the best, although I wash my hair with the other brands of Pine Tar soap too, and so far I have found them all suitable for this. I use a shaving brush and traditional shaving soap, but when I've been short I've also used this to shave with and it did the job as well as my shave soap. When I used this on my hair, I get a lot more volume than with conventional shampoo. My scalp was never itchy either. As a result, I can heartily recommend this as an "all in one", although your mileage may vary and you might be better off with separate shampoo/soap/shaving soap. As with other Pine Tar Soaps I've tried, it soothed pretty-much any problem I had with my skin, and stopped its return. A nice side effect I also noticed with the other brands, is that I'm sure I get bitten less by insects when I have used this and spend time in the woods. I find the smell very nice, infact I absolutely love it, although some people might not like the smell of the actual bar itself. Like most brands of this type of soap, the smell can vary a bit between bars - sometimes it's more tarry and sometimes (most of the time for the "Grandpa's" brand), it smells more like a woodland camp-fire, which is simply heavenly. Fortunately it's not overpowering, so once you've used it people can't really smell it on you. Speaking of smell, a final side effect is that I noticed my arm pits were always still fresh at the end of a long hard day when I'd showered with this. Again, that's just this soap's effect on me, your mileage may vary - but all I can say is that it appears to be a fantastic cure-all for me...

PUPPP / PEP- pregnancy rash sufferers!
For all the PUPPP / PEP sufferers, this soap is amazing. I am currently 37 weeks pregnant, at around 35 weeks I developed an awful all over body rash which itched like crazy, and rapidly spread. I spent so much money trying different things. Various different creams & lotions, oatmeal baths etc and nothing worked. It got to the point where I was in tears as my skin was so sore and bleeding from the itch. I read about this soap on a pregnancy forum and purchased straight away, I was willing to try anything at this point to get rid of the rash. After just 2 showers my itching was calmed down, and overnight the rash has faded a lot! It hasn't completely disappeared yet (but after just 2 showers with this soap I didn't expect any results to be honest). The soap doesn't smell great at all, but for anyone out there suffering with this skin condition, I am sure you can relate when I say who cares what it smells like / costs if it helps! Might not work for everyone, but I can say it has definitely helped me :)

Expensive
It’s a decent soap alright, smells of pine tar but not that strong. I’d say it’s rather pricey for a bar of soap. I mean, it’s alright but it’s a bar of soap that costs nearly eight quid. Can get a good bar of carbolic soap for less than half the price

Smells like a bonfire, in a good way.
Thought I would try this as been having some dry/red skin on my face. Cleared it up in a couple of days. It is very expensive but its very nice soap, it doesn`t give your skin that "tight" feeling you get from some soaps but you feel really clean. I personally like the smokey sort of smell but its not for everyone.

Love this product.
This soap is awesome. I kept having a rash come up down side of my nose and temple areas. Tried all the usual face cleaners from the supermarket/high street but nothing seemed to take the redness away. Was prescribed a cream by GP but no luck. Two washes with this and the rash began to fade. After a week the rash is no more. Leaves skin feeling refreshed. The smell isn't too bad in my opinion but obviously smelt better face products. I shave my head with a razor so use the soap as shave soap which it also does a great job of. Bought mine February 2015 now middle of May and still have a quater left so good value as well.

Un jabón natural nada mas
No resuelve ningún problema relacionado con descamaciones pero parece un jabón fabricado con ingredientes naturales nada mas... En su mano está valorar el precio de este jabón.

Cleanses without drying out the beard hair
I bought Grandpa's Pine Tar soap because I had read positive reviews and also George Bruno (a.k.a. The Sultan of Silver) whose opinion I trust recommended it on one of his beard related videos. From my experience, the soap has been fantastic on my beard. It truly cleanses and cleans my beard and my beard hair remains soft and has not become dry over the month or so of using the soap twice daily. It lathers well with a small amount applied on wet hands, and is easy to work through the beard hair as it becomes nice and slippery once a lather forms. This makes it easy to massage the skin under the beard, especially the chin and cheek areas. It rinses out very easily and my beard has a nice volume once dry. I've used it on my skin and head hair with success, and it makes hair squeaky clean. The bar seems to last quite well too. I also love the pine tar scent; it doesn’t linger at all for those who might be worried about the scent clashing with cologne etc. A great product in my opinion!

Qualidade.
