Q: Does this work for a 22 long rifle?

I have only used this cleaning kit for a 22 "long rifle caliber" pistol. As stated, it is sized for all .22 cal barrels but I do not believe that the cleaning rods are long enough for the longer barrel of a rifle.

Q: does the push rod swivel in the handle once tightened down?

Unfortunately no, it doesn't. I still think it's a pretty nice, well thought through and convenient kit, but the swivel they haven't built in.

Q: I assume I can use the 40 cal. implements on a .41 magnum?

I have used a bore brush for the 40-41 for both and have had on troubles. I don't think this kit has that bore brush in it however. Most bore brushes are 8/32 threads so the rods in the kit will work just fine. EPG
